Blog Marathon

Get ready for a marathon of blog posts next week!!!! Starting Sunday afternoon one is going up almost every 2-3 hours the entire week (well, during the daytime at least)! It was a madhouse trying to get them all up, but I did it. There are so many delicious recipes, good advice and fun blogs to check out. Hope you guys enjoy it. There will also be two CONTESTS and a KERF video – a house tour! So don’t stay away!

Not sure if it was the stress of my morning or the larger-than-life oatmeal portion, but I had zero interest in food all morning. I was still full when I went out running at 1:30. I felt a little empty in the mouth, though, so I had a little dried fruit. Mistake – this put me back in “full” zone and made for an unpleasant run!

I was stressed to the point of shaking this morning – just the pressure of fitting things in. I do NOT work well under pressure! That’s why I never procrastinate my school work. But I finished all the posts, had my conf. call, and debated skipping my workout, but I knew I would feel better afterwards. I did skip the gym and went for a quick 3.75 miles around the neighborhood. I felt much, much better. And I feel mentally better now that I am showered and dressed for this party tonight too!

I just sat down to a super late 3:30 lunch –

Lemon Avocado Kale Salad

IMG_6490 (1024x768)

Which was just a bit of kale, steamed in the microwave with some water on the bottom of the bowl, with ~1/5 of an avocado, a ton of lemon juice and salt.

IMG_6491 (1024x768)

And my craving of the day: yogurt! Mixed with a big diced mango, some kamut flakes and Mix My Granola

IMG_6492 (1024x768)

IMG_6488 (1024x768)

A bit of an alternative lunch, but delicious and filling and easy to clean up.

Off to tackle more to-dos!

(Do you know how long “paint toenails” had been on my list? Just checked that one off 🙂 )

Great job, Kath! Thanks for working so hard to get posts up for your readers! You know we love what you do! But, I hate for you to feel too much pressure!

Love the simple alternative lunch…looks good to me! I’ve had a long week too, and I was just getting ready to skip my workout, but you’ve inspired me to get out there!

    Have a fabulous vacation!

I am the exact same way about working under pressure! I just get so anxious and crazy when the list piles up. Glad to hear you were able to relax with a pedicure today! 😉

What a great lunch… good for you for listening to your body and eating the way you felt. That granola mixture sounds so good!

Oh Kath, you are an overachiever, haha, just kidding…I’m actually the opposite, pressure motivates me to get stuff done, but that’s still not a fun way to do things.

Glad you finally painted your toenails! I have wanted to for a while and just learned that I have no nail polish!! Gotta fix that this weekend 😉

    Have fun!

Yay! So looking forward to all the posts. Thanks for kickin’ A to do it!

Just wait until parenthood. Last year, “paint my toenails” was literally on my to-do list from September to December.

I bought closed-toe shoes for a wedding in October, because I was fairly certain I wouldn’t have time to both shop for an outfit and paint my toenails.

I feel your paint – I’ve been so stressed out these past weeks due to work.

And that’s so funny – I have had “paint toenails” on my to-do list for a month now! I am hoping to check it off this weekend.
