Barney + Mimsey

Morning!!

Mom, Larbs and I all shared a room last night, and two sisters sharing a double bed was a wee bit crowded, especially since Larbs was climbing on me all night!! I sleep like a log, so at least it wasn’t two way 😉

We girls got up at 7:30 for a little bit of exercise. Larbs and I walked a block to run on the Goucher campus. We were happy it wasn’t 10* and snowing like it was in January! We ran about 4.5 miles. They were so easy because we talked (and I ran slower at Larbs’ pace).

Here’s the view of Goucher from Gram’s apartment –

After getting ready, we came up to Gram’s for breakfast. On the table were made-from-scratch sticky buns made by her friend Louise!

IMG_0257 (640x480)

And imagine my delight when she pulled this from her cabinets! Mom and I sent her 2 jars this winter and she still has some left. Yum!!

IMG_0258 (480x640)

I made a pot of oatmeal for the group. Rolled oats with a pinch of salt, cinnamon and blueberries.

IMG_0260 (640x480)

We topped our portions (which were small divided by 3) with sticky bun and Barney Butter!!

I also had a half cup of coffee

Mom brought Gram’s daughter Mimsey a chair she bought in Maine. Mimsey hasn’t been this relaxed in years!

Doesn’t she look so happy!?

We’re headed out for a little back-to-school shopping.

See y’all for lunch!

Homemade sticky buns are the best! I went to a bread baking class a few months ago and we made our own – delicious! And if you have the bun with oatmeal it’s a balanced breakfast 🙂
