Apple Of My Eye

I’m always a little sad when the long days of summer shorten and the long dark nights of winter lie ahead, but I can’t help but be happy for all the goodies fall brings! Crisp air, cozy clothes, and comforting food. I’m not quite ready for pumpkin-flavored everything, but I am ready for apple season!

Apple Season 2

There’s nothing better than spending the day picking apples at an orchard… except maybe eating a delicious dessert made from them 😉

Apples aren’t only full of flavor, they are full of nutrients. Check out some of their stats below, as well as some other fun facts!

I love reading your blog and watching your family’s adventures, however, the ads on your page have made it increasingly difficult for me to do so. Almost every post, regardless of computer or browser, your page crashes for me. As an avid fan, I’ll keep trying, but maybe something to look into.

Ditto — it stood out to me on this post in particular, because the ads actually interfere with sections of your infographics. It’s a shame to cover up something you’ve clearly put valuable time into! Just something to think about. It makes it very challenging to enjoy your content these days. 🙁

I eat apples almost every day, especially in the fall! I love going to the farmer’s markets and trying out new varieties. Thanks for sharing the health benefits and give me more reasons to feel good about my snack later!

A lot of these seem super sweet/sugary! Do you have any advice on how to keep your sugar intake in check? What do you do when you know you’ve had enough treats but just can’t resist the cravings?

Love all of the apple inspiration here! (I’ll admit, the first link I clicked was for apple sangria 🙂 ) We just bought a bushel of local, organic apples. Apples are on the EWG’s “Dirty Dozen” list, and since the peel/skin has so much good stuff (if not chemical-laden), they’re a good one to buy organic (or no-spray).
