Ain’t Nothin’ Like

Foodblog-2905

You know that Brad Paisley song? “Ain’t Nothin’ Like?” I have it stuck in my head – about this tomato!

I went to Pump Challenge this morning. I keep losing equipment! First it was the heavy weights, then the bar, and now the step! Our class is not traditional Body Pump – it’s more like a sculpt class with lots of free weights and no breaks. I’m down to a set of 10lbs (biceps, back, shoulders, warm-up, some squats), 5lbs (for tris, some back, shoulders) and 2lbs (for our extended shoulders). I leave the room for chest and do the chest press machine, use no weights for lunges and skip out on abs! Modifying but still going! Bending down to pick up the 10-pounders is a challenge in itself : )

Foodblog-21

At home I made a delicious wrap with 2 scrambled eggs, a handful of spinach, sharp cheddar and tomato on a WF whole wheat wrap.

On the side – I SUPER ripe, extra sweet n juicy cantaloupe!

Foodblog-2901

I just got off of an hour-long call about a freelance project I am super excited about! It is such a good fit for me as a dietitian and mom-to-be – I hope it works out!

Wow, that wrap looks delish! And once again, I’m in serious lust with your linens. I think I might need to go get some new linens/bowls/plates soon, haha! Congrats and good luck with the new project, can’t wait to find out more about it 🙂

We had a good cantaloupe, but, unfortunately, I did not get it cut up in time, & it went bad 🙁 Oh well!

That’s great that you’re still going and doing everything you can! I’m sure most women would have given up by now, but I’m sure it’s too fun to give up!

Random question… how are you supposed to drink Kombucha?! I bought a bottle at the grocery store, after reading about it on your blog. I noticed that there’s some particulate settled at the bottom, and the label says DON’T SHAKE! Are you supposed to avoid that stuff, or drink the whole thing?

I drink the whole thing without shaking – but often leave an ounce or two in the bottom with that sludge. I don’t really know what it is (residue from the fermentation) but I don’t think it tastes very good!

I watched Alton Brown’s Good Eats and he showed how to slice a cantaloupe. I have now found my late night snack. No ice cream or cereal at night for 7 days now. Well once when I ate it for dinner. A good sweet cantaloupe that is ice cold makes it all better.

Hmmm…so curious about the possible project. Sounds exciting!

We had a canteloupe exactly like yours this morning. It was so delicious- my kids were fighting over it! The baby had some pureed with some organic yogurt. It tasted like a creamsicle and he scarfed it down!

There’s a Body Pump class being offered at the gym I just joined. I’m more than a bit intimidated to try that right away though. I somehow feel I should be a bit better before joining a class like that. I feel the same way about yoga.
