A Reason To Celebrate

IMG_1475 (480x640)

this !

I found out today that I have been accepted early decision to Winthrop’s Dietetic Internship!!!!!!!!! 8 candidates are pre-selected to the program based on academic record and experience and are exempt from the formal interviews and ADA matching process. I’m so excited (and obviously relieved)!!

We picked a good night to open our final bottle of honeymoon wine from the case we bought at Ledson in Sonoma.

Two years ago…the week of 6.2.07….

Ledson II

Picnicing

Couple Drinks

St. Francis Chardonnay

Dining in Sonoma II

IMG_1467 (480x640)

My, my was this the MOST AMAZING REISLING I have ever had!!!!!!!!!!! Sweet, honeyed, fruity. Not syrupy at all. Perfect for summer cocktail hour. I remember now why we bought a whole case from this winery!

IMG_1470 (640x480)

This afternoon my tummy kinda hurt. I think I let myself get undernourished from the super hard cycle workout and bike home on a near-empty stomach. Lunch took a while to kick in.

Taking a cue from Harry Potter, I had a piece of chocolate. It helped 🙂

IMG_1462 (640x480)

Two hours later, I could tell that I still had not replenished so I went for the whole grains.

IMG_1464 (640x480)

A piece of Cinnamon Raisin Walnut with Barney Butter (plus an extra end piece!!!)

IMG_1465 (640x480)

I had 1.5 glasses of wine throughout the evening as we watched A Room With A View. You can bet I had fun watching the nudey scene!!!! Tracey, it was as fun as ever!

Tee hee!!!!

IMG_1487 (640x480)

We paused the movie around 7PM to have dinner. (Our romantic outing didn’t happen because I forgot Matt has to work early tomorrow and be in bed by 8:30)

Baked potato topped with leftover chili and plain Chobani and Big Papi sauce!

IMG_1478 (640x480)

IMG_1479 (640x480)

After I mashed down my potato, the portion looked more filling….

IMG_1481 (480x640)

But gosh I am a bottomless pit today!! Not an hour after dinner I still had that churning, burning "I’m starving" sensation in my stomach. When I have that feeling I never deny myself a snack. It’s definitely a sign I need more food.

I polished off the "sour cream" container and added a cookie – X2!!

IMG_1488 (480x640)

IMG_1489 (480x640)

Much better.

Chugging water too.

I’ve got a busy day out of the house tomorrow. Farmer’s market. Errands. Grocery shopping. A fun run with friends. Writing. A dinner and a mini concert with more friends.

I’m off to start the Time Traveler’s Wife! (Just finished Housekeeping last night. Wish I could have read it with a sharper mind. I know there is so much more depth to that book that I overlooked. I need a classroom setting to discuss it with classmates!)

    BethT ,
No, you’re not guaranteed. It’s a separate applicate process with a test, interviews and a computerized matching process by the ADA. Very stressful!! I don’t get to pick my sites (bummer) but just getting in is relief enough.

    Angela ,
Aww thanks! No one has ever told me that!
