A Joy To Blog

My new tech toys really have made blogging so much more fun!

I had some fun with close ups this morning –

IMG_0099

I knocked out a good chunk of my to-do list this morning and just have a few more big things left. I left for the gym around noon on my bike – the sun has peeked out just a few times, and I think the rain is done for the day. Crossing my fingers! Once I arrived at the gym I did 30 minutes on the Stepmill and some stretching. The bike ride home was quite muddy as I hit the puddles –

IMG_0084

Once home and showered, I was very hungry for lunch! Look at the colors in that photo!!!

IMG_0086

I made a hummus, pickle and green pepper sandwich on Great Harvest High Five Fiber – along with some mustard and romaine.

IMG_0088

And had a selection of carrots + apple with PB for dipping

IMG_0091

Plus more Coconut Chai (same tea bag, used 3 times)

IMG_0092

IMG_0085

Dessert. Can you read my palm!?

IMG_0095

Karen and Andrew are coming over for dinner tonight, so it’ll be a party! Until them I’ll be tied to my computer 🙁

Happy Hump Of The Humpday!

Does the tea keep it’s flavor when using a tea bag multiple times like that? I’ve got Coconut Chai too and I really want to get as much enjoyment out of it as possible, but I never thought to do that.

HELP! Lately I have been in this frustrating cylce where I can’t stop eating at night. It starts with what I think will just be some ice cream and turns into cookies, candy, granola bars, etc. I eat until I’m so full and hurting. Then I go for a few days where I’m fine. Has anyone experienced this and if so how did you overcome it?

    rhodeygirl ,
Cool! I think I was on WeddingBee once!?

seelee live (for the love of peanut butter) + Camtim42 ,
Yeah – I just leave the teabag in the mug, refill the mug with water, and microwave it for 2 minutes (which kills any bacteria, but I’m not really worried about since since they are my own germs).

    Halie ,
It definitely loses flavor, but I try to get as much out as I can! The stronger/blacker the tea, the better it is on round II. I rarely use a bag more than twice.

    Jennifer ,
Yes, they go halfway – called a half eternity, I believe. And yes, it’s a round diamond in a 4-prong setting, which lets in more light (= more sparkle!) than a 6-prong “Tiffany” setting.

    pam ,
Capers last a loooong time thanks to their acidity. I dont’ think I’ve ever had them go bad on me.

    Frustrated ,
Are you eating enough during the day? Eating balanced, satisfying meals? That often contributes to late night snacking for me – if I feel unsatisfied. Also – get the snacks out of your house. If they’re not there, you won’t eat them. Willpower is highly overated.

I am looking for anyone’s input here…..esp any of you with a good plan for tomorrow. If you plan out your food in advance….would any of you mind sharing what you will be having tomorrow? Also, to Frustrated… I had that problem when I was in college … do you have roommates who are doing the same? My friends and I found that one of us would start snacking, and then the next thing you knew, we were all chowing down until we felt ill. I found that once we realized this cycle, we were able to break it together… or I would just go in my room and read until the urge to snack passed… just my two cents though! good luck 🙂

Love the pics! Great quality. I am still working on getting my pics clearer on my blog. I have been using my camera phone. The pics are just not great at all. I think I will need to learn how to use a regular camera to upload pics on the computer.
