A [Biscoff] Apple A Day

Gotta start every lunch with something healthy….

IMG_5022 (640x427)

Leftover sesame kale salad with broc, green pepper, cuc, red pepper, raisins and Sabra.

IMG_5023 (640x427)

Apple Kracker’s

IMG_5024 (640x427)

IMG_5025 (640x427)

And finally….a Biscoff apple.

IMG_5027 (640x427)

Heavenly. Surely this apple combination a day will keep any doctor away. [Difficult when you’re working in a hospital!]

IMG_5028 (640x427)

Little-a-this, little-a-that.

IMG_5021 (640x427)

Wheeeeeeeee!

I’m a firm believer that an apple a day keeps the doc away 🙂 I don’t remember the last day I missed my apple!
    Have a lovely afternoon 🙂

Mmm, looking forward to apple season, which will be here before you know it. I used to be a faithful apple-a-day girl, but now I limit that to when apples are in-season locally. I picked up a regular grocery store apple at an event over the weekend, and there was just something missing! Fortunately, with all the different varieties that ripen at different times, and the fact that apples keep well, that still ends up being about half the year around these parts 🙂 I do add dried apples to my oatmeal some mornings, so they’re not completely absent from my current diet.

Where did you get that little nut butter container? It’s the perfect size! I can’t seem to find anything small enough for a tbsp of nut butter…and whenever I use a bigger container, it gets all over the place!

    Hi Kath,

I love your blog and read it religiously but I have a question somewhat unrelated to it entirely…I am starting college in the fall as a dietetics major, with plans on becoming an RD some day. For our program we have certain required classes (intro to chem, intro to organic chem, etc.). Some teachers say that if we want to go to grad school we should take chem (not intro) a year of bio, physics, and calculus, I was planning on doing that but now other teachers are saying that it is not at all necessary to take those classes. I’ve tried to find info online at different grad schools w/internships included but it’s useless. I was wondering since you’ve gone through the system of applying for internships and all that if these classes are necessary? Is it really competitive in that I should be taking it? AH I’m stressing out and I haven’t even started school yet! Any help you could give would be great.

    Thanks,
    Danielle

      Danielle,
From my experience, you just need the DPD verification statement and as much practical experience as possible. My advice would be to take an easier class and go work part time as a diet tech!
