50 Days Of Gray

Hellllloooo. Anyone else craving a tropical vacation?! Yup, it’s that time of year. Not so much because of the cold but the gray skies. The sun just hides this time of year. But the good news is in Virginia spring is not too far away. We’re in the thick of winter, and it’s darkest before dawn!

Just more reasons to hide out in closets and hibernate : )

Foodblog (2 of 4) this !

We’ve also been spending time indoors at the Discovery Museum fighting fires!

Breakfasts are always the most popular meal of the day and my most photographed! Here’s some power toast (with sunshine!) with nut butter, banana and berries. Plus tea!

Foodblog (1 of 3)-2

And a green smoothie with Super Topper!

Foodblog (1 of 3)-3

Lunch salad with salmon salad on top, Cinnamon Nut Thins and peppers. I made the salmon salad with greek yogurt and mustard, and those Nut Thins are my new favorite!

Foodblog (1 of 1)-6

This one was sautéed kale, sausage, eggplant and havarti cheese. Anytime I can make a hot lunch it’s a win. Also a win if cheese is involved ; )

Dinner at Sarah’s house for a Stella & Dot party. Sometimes you gotta combine veggies and hummus, cheese and wine to make a meal : )

Foodblog (1 of 1)

I enjoyed a lovely Super Bowl dinner at my friend Lynsie’s house with chili, veggies and hummus, BBQ and fruit.

Mwahahahha

Another reason to be excited for spring? Our patio is coming together!! The yard will be so much more comfortable this year.

Have a great afternoon friends!

The patio looks so nice! I’d love to get rid of our deck and put a patio like that in. Maybe next summer! 😉

I’ve been meaning to ask you for ages but where are your utensils from? The thin handles and sleek lines are gorgeous.

I live in the midwest, we have had a dusting of snow. But a have gotta get out of here and see some sunshine and warmth. We just booked a trip to TX over Spring Break, one of my favorite places to visit.

    Two things:
    A. Love that Downton Abbey Super Bowl reference!
    B. You’re doing to your backyard what I’ve been dreaming of doing to our’s! Can’t wait to see the final product, and would love more details!
