It’s kinda sad here this morning – we’ve all got a case of the vacation end blues. We’re racing the radar to get in a run before the pouring rain hits, but we didn’t want to miss breakfast so we’re just waiting to digest. It’s an upset stomach vs. getting soaked competing at this point.
I ventured into the instant oatmeal basket and mixed a packet of plain with 1/2 a packet of cinnamon bun with some hot water, cold milk and 1/2 a mashed banana. Plus a small bit of crumbled spice muffin. I forgot all my packed toppings upstairs and just went with this. Probably shouldda gone back for the Barney Butter packet!
Plus some grapes –
And coffee – (oats pre-muffin crumble, grapes half eaten)
At least rain + reading go hand-in-hand! I only have 7 pages left in Eleanor and then I’m starting The Blue Bistro by Elin Hinderbrand, which I got for Xmas. It was supposed to be my sunny beach read but my historical queen drama is taking me too long to finish!

Hope you beat the rain!!
Enjoy your last days on your beach vacation. You will love the Blue Bistro !!
When in question…Always go back for the Barney Butter
Hope you get in a good run before the rain!
Enjoy your last days of vacation! I just got caught up on your blog, after my own vacation. Going back to work is hard!
Enjoy the remaining days of the holidays!
Hope the rain disappears
I JUST starting reading Blue Bistro last night. I hope that it’s as good as Barefoot. It’s pretty good so far (all thirty pages, hah)… definitely a foodie’s book.
What a wonderful weekend you had – I’m jealous!
Awww… I hate the vacation end blues, but your vacation did look awfully nice!
The instant oatmeal doesn’t look too bad…and don’t get caught up in the vacation blues! Enjoy each moment of your time off!
It seems like you had a wonderful vacation… enjoy every last minute of it!!!
I get vacation-end blues too…but I am already excited to plan the next one! Hopefully the oatmeal helped lift your spirits?
I’m starting to get all worried about the end of vacation too, I don’t want it to end so soon!!!
That’s a great read. I’ve read all of Elin’s books and that is one of my favorites (along with The Love Season). I’ve read it several summers in a row on the beach. Enjoy the rest of your vacation!
