Announcing my special new gig……
A year-long blogging partnership writing for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield’s new Real Health site! I am thrilled to have accepted this amazing opportunity to write for Anthem as a dietitian and mother. Once a week on Mondays you’ll find my posts and videos sharing stories about food, nutrition and motherhood on the Real Health website.
The program is an initiative of Anthem’s to share health stories and spark conversations around health within its larger community. The program is called Real Health because the implicit promises include making health information and inspiration more real by helping people connect with people who are like them when it comes to daily health habits.
I’m joined by a diverse team of bloggers and topics from different walks of life: Harold, Rosemary & Phyllis, RJ and Toni.
I had to miss a trip to NYC near my due date to kick off the program, but that’s why they sent a video crew to me : )
My first series of posts focus on pregnancy and becoming a mom, and later I’ll be writing more about nutrition and food.

And your Mazen just may eat veggies right away! My one year old loves carrot juice straight from the juicer and calls spinach smoothies her “favorite smoothie juice!” My preteens eat their veggies too, so you never know. . .

I’ve been a reader for many years and really enjoy your blog. I just wondered what your thoughts were about getting involved with a company that has campaigned against health care reform. This is not meant to be a criticism – I’m British so find the idea of health insurance and not having universal coverage really hard to get my head round!
