Wheeeeeeeee! Turns Into ROAR

FINALLY!!!!!!!! I guess WordPress just didn’t like me last night. Maybe it was tired too.

Fun night at Dolce !

 IMG_1134

We started with this fab bottle of red –

And some bread, which was cold 🙁

IMG_1138 (1024x768) (600x800) IMG_1139 (1024x768) (600x800)

I started with the Fresca Salad – field greens, chopped pears, caramelized walnuts, golden raisins; tossed with balsamic honey dressing and topped with gorgonzola cheese. The gorgonzola was AMAZING!! Marshmallow-y again. I want to know what kind this is!! I remember having this excellent gorg. at another restaurant too. I must purchase it for home use.

IMG_1142 (1024x768) (800x600)

I also had bites of the husband’s Lobster Cream Bisque and Karen’s Eggplant Napoleon . And mas vino –

For my dinner I got the Linguine Pescatore – linguine pasta tossed with shrimp, clams, mussels, and cherry tomatoes in a light scampi sauce . (Gosh it’s convenient to copy and paste!) It was divine. I rarely order pasta in restaurants and decided this Italian place was the kind of establishment I should. It was delicious. I pretty much ate all of it, with the exception of sharing 3-4 bites with the table.

IMG_1144 (1024x768) (800x600)

Karen got the Salmon Positano – marinated and baked salmon filet stuffed with pistachio pesto, wrapped in puff pastry, and served with scallion cream sauce. It was really good. I had 2 bites.

IMG_1145 (1024x768) (800x600)

And he got Gnocchi – in-house made potato dumplings tossed with Bolognese meat sauce. The Gnocchi were amazing, but the sauce could have used more substance. I had about 3 Gnocchi too.

IMG_1148 (1024x768) (800x600)

Before dessert we were presented with shots of Limoncello liqueur !!! So cool, so delicious!

IMG_1152 (1024x768) (600x800)

IMG_1153 (1024x768) (600x800)

And then came the Gelato!! Panecotta Gelato with Fresh Berries, Liquor and Whipped Cream. Mmmmm!! I manage to indulge in every bite

 this !

And he got the Manicotta Cheesecake – I had a few bites of that as well.

Surprisingly I’m not full at all – just perfectly satisfied. Perhaps because it was a 2-hour dinner? I’m chugging some water now because that wine + liquors were too good. I’m excited for a free day tomorrow – filled with sunshine! Hoping to do some yoga first thing, then have oats, which I missed today.

Nite!

Dinner looks fab! Especially that gelato 🙂

although, at first I read it as “pancetta gelato”! I thought….hmm, that sounds like something on Iron Chef!

Hope you got some yoga in this morning before your oats. Wow, between last weekend and last night, you have been eating out in style! Karen’s salmon looked huge…and the gelato sounded amazing, but then gelato always sounds amazing!

    Enjoy your sunny Saturday!

Mmmm, love gnocchi, probably because it’s not your standard pasta dish (not the biggest pasta fan here). And fresh shellfish – awesome!

i would have gotten the gnocci for sure!

Did you know that in good Italian restaurants you can just custom make your order. If I don’t see anything that I want, my go to is penne pasta, with a spicy red sauce, grilled shrimp and fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. I’ve never once not been able to order this.

Just thought I would let you know – also glad that WordPress finally cooperated!

We went to the same kind of restaurant tonight too! How funny 🙂 It’s a place called Pasta Shop in Vegas and I posted it too. Looks like yum!
