Welcome August

IMG_4886-2Blog

And welcome Great Harvest Warrenton Blackberry Peach Cobbler Swirl Bread!

IMG_4871-2Blog

I’ve had this baby in my freeze since wintertime and just thawed it out to try. Since we now have our own store I figured it was now or never to eat it up!

IMG_4873-2Blog

Heaven, I tell ya!

I was going to do French toast with this, but it was so doughy and soft that I didn’t want to mess up a good thing. Instead I piled it high with yogurt and fruit!

IMG_4876-2Blog

IMG_4881-2Blog

Cait’s Plate always mixes chia seeds with yogurt and makes beautiful French toast and pancake stacks, so that’s what I was going for. I hate it when yogurt “leaks” onto bread so I think the chia seeds helped to thicken and dry it out a bit. I also don’t like cold + hot mixed so that’s another reason I didn’t toast the bread. This turned out quite amazing!!

IMG_4877-2Blog

IMG_4884-2Blog

Today and tomorrow are going to be super busy to prep myself and the bakery for this trip. But one of the tasks on my to-do list is to get my nails done, so I’m not complaining!

Have a Sunny Monday!

I received my open sky package first thing this morning right in time for breakfast.
    C’ville Crunch is amazing!!!!
I also did not want to take away from the taste of the Cville crunch, so yogurt, chia seeds and banana were the perfect compliment!
