Weekendless

Foodblog (1 of 14) this !

It is finally steamy hot here in Cville! After a few days in the 80s it’s quite the shock of heat. I’m eating lots of smoothies and yogurt for breakfast. See the above – smoothie with toast!

On Friday Grammie and Pea met us at Citizen Burger for lunch on their way through Cville. They are coming back today for a few days of visit! Mom and I split a burger, sweet potato fries and this big beet, goat cheese salad.

That was one of those lunches that fills you up for two meals! For dinner we went to Friday’s After Five and Matt and I shared a veggie pizza slice. Plus a gelato for dessert!

Foodblog (4 of 14)

It was the perfect night!

Foodblog (5 of 14)

Saturday breakfast – pancake, watermelon and a new Celestial Seasonings tea I can’t wait to tell you more about soon!

Foodblog (7 of 14)

Saturday was chill – we made lots of forts and read books together

Foodblog (8 of 14)

Foodblog (10 of 14)

Lunch was leftover salad, fried egg and leftover roasted potatoes.

Foodblog (9 of 14)

Saturday evening we hosted an impromptu party and ordered a bunch of pizzas to share. Not the healthiest evening but super fun!

Foodblog (11 of 14)

Sunday was a family day, and we did lots of chores around the house and go organized for the week. For dinner I cooked two gourmet salmon burgers I bought at the farmer’s market – they were so good! Plus caprese salads – local tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil and EVOO.

Foodblog (14 of 14)

Bertolli sent me their anniversary bottle of oil to test – this bottle might be a keeper!

Foodblog (13 of 14)

Hope y’all are pumped for the week!!

Yummy weekend of eats! I love impromptu parties, so much fun! Can’t wait to hear more about that tea. I am on a tea hunt because I am slowly trying to give up the amount {not all of the coffee} of coffee in which I consume!

It went from feeling like fall to high summer finally! Not as hot as where you live, but still sticky humid. I can’t decide if I love it or want the rainy cool weather back haha. I’m surprised, with all the access to high quality bread you have and your taste for caprese salads, that you never make panzanella! I used to live off of it when I had access to day old bakery bread.

How do you cook your fried eggs? The yolk is so yellow and shiny it almost looks raw!

Butter in a nonstick pan and medium heat. They are farmer’s market eggs so the yolk has a lot of color!

Is that land of nob quilt the baby or full sized one? I am thinking about getting a quilt from them, but I am debating the size. Do you have a recommendation?
