Water Therapy

If floating around in a pool burns calories, then I got a GREAT workout this afternoon!!! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

IMG_0098 (640x480)

I had those anxiety chest pains all day today. I think it was just the stress of moving on top of going back to work and having my own floors and all. The day went well, but I couldn’t shake the feeling.

When I got home I received a great shoulder massage from Matt that took ALL the pains away. Then I decided that water therapy was much more appropriate than an elliptical in an air conditioned gym.

To the pool we went!

IMG_0092 (480x640) (2)

I prepared a Gin+Tonic – MINUS the gin! Just tonic, lime and a splash of bitters.

IMG_0096 (640x480)

I studied for my presentation tomorrow and then we splashed around for a while.

The crew made dinner while I packed my lunch for tomorrow and blogged.

I found a lovely windowsill that served well for a blogging station!

IMG_5952 (640x427)

1 out of 3 features were these mushroom raviolis that Karen found at EarthFare.

IMG_5956 (640x427)

Matt microwaved some potatoes to soften them and then pan-seared them in Garlic Gold (in fact, I think everything in this dinner was seasoned with Garlic Gold!) and some dried dill. They were awesome!

IMG_5954 (640x427)

And lastly, we steamed up some kale (drizzled in Garlic Gold..) with carrots and topped with a few goat cheese crumbles.

IMG_5955 (640x427)

A little piece of Great Harvest Rosemary Garlic toast also made it onto my plate.

IMG_5962 (640x427)

Delish!

IMG_5958 (640x427)

I’m still feeling a little hungry – ’bout to go make a dent in this water therapy!!

IMG_5967 (640x427)

Have a good night folks!

I’m doing a summer internship as a hospital chaplain this summer and I get those same anxious feelings when I’m on call! I hate being alone and dealing with multiple calls at once and feeling completely incompetent in times of tragedy. I’m sure that massage helped – I try to remind myself to continue to take deep breaths to make it through the day. Good luck!

Just downed a huge chunk of watermelon…just the hydration and sweet I needed post-salty-din din.

Breathe, Kath, breathe. Your stuff is secure in a pod and you can just enjoy being a guest now. 4 more days of work right?

    Kath & Matt,
Congratulations on beginning your next chapter. Wow… looks like you’re living at a resort–very swanky! Enjoy it–you deserve it. Wanted to wait a couple of days to send so you weren’t too overloaded with comments during such a whirlwind of moving. Looks like your family and friends are real professional moving engineers. I am sure settlement will go fine, but it sure will feel great to have that behind you and be relaxing at the beach. LOL

Floating around in the pool or lake definitely counts as a workout which I love because I do that often. πŸ˜‰
I’m sure the chest pains & stress is super normal, but YOU CAN DO IT! Just take everything a little at a time. My Dad always says, “Don’t sweat the small stuff, & remember, it’s all small stuff.”. πŸ™‚

Those potatoes look divine! And I tried kale for the first time ever yesterday – so good! I was going to make your kale chips but I thought it’d stretch further if I made a kale and seaweed salad, but then I ate it all in one go anyway, so that defeated the stretching-out purpose! πŸ˜›
