Virginia Is My Home

So weird!!!!!!!!!!! I better get used to it. I’ve lived in North Carolina for 27 years, and it’s hard to let go.

Matt and I got up early this morning to get moving day started as early as possible (after our 5 hour drive in separate cars!!!)

Our internet should be connected when we get there. (The water might not be on, however!)

While we’re on the road, here’s a sneak peak at our new rental house!

SO EXCITED!!

Beautiful rental house! The one we’re looking at right now is reeeeeeeeeeeeeeallllllllllyyyyyy ddaaaaaaaated (think pumpkin orange kitchen counters, old oak cabinets and built-in bookshelves, and awful ugly carpets). It’s going to need a lot of TLC! But that’s all we can ask for in a house that rents for 600/mo and has 3 bedrooms and 1800 sq ft!

There are so many wonderful places to discover here — we go on a new adventure just about every quarter. Charlottesville is beautiful. You will love Wintergreen, too. And when you need a really good shopping fix, c’mon down to Short Pump Town Center which is northwest of Richmond and convenient from C-ville on I-64. Best of luck to you both!

Welcome to Virginia! We’re about an hour away but may have to take a drive over to your store when it’s up and running. Charlottesville is a great place! Congratulations and again welcome!

Such a huge adventure ahead of you. I couldn’t imagine moving to a new place after 27 years. I’ve never lived in one place more than 5 years.

I’m from Virginia. Glad you are now calling it home. 🙂 I currently live in Georgia (military wife) and am moving to Okinawa (!!) this fall. Virginia will ALWAYS be my home! My brother just recently moved from Charlottesville. It’s a gorgeous town. Hope you enjoy it!

WOW! The house looks great! I love the natural light throughout (especially the kitchen) and the kitchen even has a wood “butchers” block countertop! I’m so jealous! You’ll love it. And I thought you were buying? This may be the first post in a long time that shows NO food photos! HAHA. Good luck with move in day Kath and Matt!!

I’m clearly geography challenged or maybe just not that observant. I didn’t realize you were moving to Virginia. Not that I live anywhere close, but I thought you were moving either to somewhere in NC or possibly SC.

The rental looks AMAZING! Love all the wood floors and all of the light. It looks so cute!
