‘Twas The Night Before Breakfast

Good evening Good morning!!!

It’s last-night-me talking here ๐Ÿ™‚ Packed up this gourmet overnight oats in a jar to take to work. I have to be in at 7AM! Most of the RDs eat their breakfast once they get to work, so I’ll be chomping beside them tomorrow today ๐Ÿ™‚

IMG_5602 (640x427)

Today’s mix was overnight oats in a TJ’s Valencia PB jar that had nothing left in it. Somebody scraped it too clean!! So I added Nuttzo PF to the top!

The Mix

  • 1/3 cup raw oats
  • 1/2 cup Voskos plain low-fat greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup vanilla soy milk
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 banana
  • Lingonberry preserves
  • Nuttzo PF

And a small jar of Nature’s Path granola on the side to be mixed in. About 2 tbsp.

Coffee from the cafeteria TBD!!!

I’m working with Caitlin today and am excited to spend the day with a friend!

Until lunch…

I hate eating breakfast at work. I like to have at least 2 meals at home. Breakfast at your desk kinda sucks.

I love OIAJ. Or is it OOIAJ (overnight oats in a jar)? Either way, looks like a great way to start out the day!

Looks good! I wouldn’t mind breakfast at work as long as I wasn’t rushed to eat it…I hate trying to squeeze my tasty lunches in my fifteen minute breaks.

I love overnight oats in the summer. They’re so transportable too- perfect for eating on the go! I have a jar of that TJ’s peanut butter that I should really break into, it’s a good one!

Great start to today! I made overnight oats for the first time yesterday and I liked it, but I think I need to play with it more since I did not love it. I did it banana split style. I liked the cool aspect of it and the flavor. I think the texture could be creamier though.

    Have a great day!

Than I was very disappointed because they didn’t have Nuttzo butter. Haha. I think I am making creations in my own head.. Nuttzo milk?? haha

I’ve been wanting to try overnight oats in a jar, but I love the melty leftover nut butter so much in regular OIAJ that I don’t think I’d enjoy it cold as much.
