Turn The Heat Back On

IMG_1988Blog

8 hours of sleep and a lazy Sunday morning going on here. And the heat still turned off from yesterday’s warmth! I woke up to a chilly 59 degrees in the house.

Something this can’t fix:

IMG_1995Blog

I wanted breakfast to involve a smoothie and a muffin. But it was too cold for smoothies so I settled on yogurt instead. Voskos now makes YoGreek, and they sent me a few to try out. What I love: the side of granola! It was good granola too. Very vanilla. I sampled the honey flavor in today’s bowl and liked it a lot. Although I wish these came in plain flavor because I just prefer plain yogurt.

YogreekBlog

Paired with banana, chia seeds, Faith’s muffin and sunflower butter.

Matt and I are planning some kind of biking today since I have huge blisters on both pinky toes from 6 miles of walking in crappy shoes 🙁 Hoping it’s warmer outside than it is in here!

I was just thinking the same thing. We spent the (very windy) day in Williamsburg yesterday and it was so lovely. Today, it is freezing and my little toes don’t know what to do!! Hope your feet feel better. I’m headed to a vinyasa workshop with my fav teacher – she’ll take care of me 😀

Brrrr! Your morning sounds a bit like mine! I’m trying not to turn the heat on, and a smoothie was my first pick to but I’m kinda rethinking that one 😉
Hope you have a good day!
Love that the yogurt comes with granola on the side, that’s so convenient!

We had a small heat wave in New York on Friday and it got up to 67! Of course, that only lasted a day and now it’s cold again — and really windy! It was still nice to get a glimpse of spring though.

The wind is crazy here – apparently it was hurricane force in some areas!! It was a lovely 60+ degrees just a few days ago but we’re back to 18 degree weather. Love the idea of having the yogurt and granola packed together like that – very easy for packing!

I have only ever had plain yogurt and lemon yogurt. My favorite is the plain as well, because I can jazz it up how I like. I should try new flavors, though, just to expand my horizons!

I love chia seeds and can tell a big difference when I have them with breakfast, however I can’t seem to get them down raw. I like them when they are mixed into a smoothie or used for baking. I’m guessing like lots of food, they are more nutritious when eaten raw??

When I have blisters I find that the gel-pad type band aids work best. I dab a bit of neosporin on the pad then leave the band aid on for 2-3 days straight – works every time.
