Tues, Wednesday

IMG_8031-3Blog

I seriously thought today was Tuesday. Which isn’t good since I have a cycle class to get to and a breakfast just consumed in my stomach!

IMG_8040Blog

Hello happy waffles!

IMG_8032Blog

Today is someone’s birthday. Is it yours? If so – sprinkles for you!

This stack was layers of Kashi waffles with yogurt mixed with jam and chia seeds and heated for 15 seconds. Plus banana and a big blob of Sunbutter!

IMG_8037-2Blog

Some blueberry oolong tea to sip

IMG_8035-2Blog

And a large helping of Wednesday morning!

I never make that mistake. I always think it’s closer to the weekend than it is. Always. In fact, I usually think every day is Friday. Or maybe that’s just me hoping. Perty sprinkles!

Those sprinkles are cute! I’ve never added sprinkles to my waffles. Did you find a brand without hydrogenated oils?

I don’t think they have them…but they aren’t exactly real food. I use such a dash though, I’m not concerned about having them every other week or so.

This was the closest ingredient list I could find for rainbow nonpareils: http://www.bulkfoods.com/nutrition-facts-candy.asp?sProdID=41056

I’ve never even thought about the ingredients in sprinkles – I guess I always thought they were just sugar.

one should always use organic sprinkles. You can check on Wikipedia what the colors “Red 3 & 40, Yellow 5 & 6, Blue 1” do to you body….

your waffle stack is beautiful! does the yogurt change consistency when you heat it? i always want warmed a bit, but am nervous it would curdle?

I was TERRIFIED of curdled yogurt until I tried it the first time. The first time I did 15 seconds – mildly warm. The second time I did 30 seconds – too much and yes a change in consistency! This time back to 15 and it was fine.
