Traveling Pants

Hi from many feet above Kansas!!

GOGO Internet makes me so happy. Although my netbook battery does not! I’m already halfway through it and we have so many hours left. I’m also kind of claustrophobic over here in the window seat, and my back needs lumbar support! I’m kind of sickly feeling from not moving.

Just got delivered a bubbly club soda though – hope that helps!

One of my major goals in life is to be an organized and most importantly concise traveler. Now that I have a wheeled bag, that helps a ton. I’m no longer lugging things around (esp. since I travel with a giant camera and laptop at all times). My tote today gets an A- for organization!

 IMG_5051 (640x427) (2)

Electronics pouch, computer, camera, book in the back

Make up bag with essentials, snack bag and water bottle in the front

Wallet, phone, boarding pass in the zip front

IMG_5052 (640x427) (2)

Also, my shirt, sweater and wallet match!!

IMG_5053 (640x427)

Here are all of the snacks I packed for my trip

IMG_5044 (640x427) (2)

Karen took me by Whole Foods on the way to the airport. I got a smallish salad to have for lunch. My plane from Cville to Philly was TINY and I just couldn’t get my camera out to photograph it, but you all know what a Whole Foods salad looks like! Highlight was coconut curry tofu cubes!

I found this in Philly along with a spotty internet connection and four BlogHers!!

IMG_5050 (640x427)

I mixed the yogurt with some of my dried fruit + raw granola from my snack bag

IMG_5054 (640x427)

I overheard two girls saying the B-word (blog) and went over to introduce myself. The best part of BlogHer is meeting so many people who "get" the blog world. Instant friends.

I’ve got a sandwich to have for dinner later – cucumbers, mashed black beans, Pumpkin Chipotle pesto

IMG_5045 (640x427)

And fruits if I need one for dessert

IMG_5046 (640x427)

Upon my arrival sweet Tammy is picking me up from the airport and then I’m meeting more KERF friends for a waterfront walk! Oh, and perhaps my first taste of Pinkberry!?

Hoping to push Publish and close my eyes and when I open them I’m there…

I don’t care how many frozen yogurt shops there are in the world, Pinkberry will always be worth the 4 hour drive for me.

Hopefully you do get a taste; it’s life changing.

Omg! I work at one of the Pinkberry locations in San Diego! I think I’d faint if you came in, though, haha. You’re one of my blogging idols. :]
And, I work tomorrow! If you arrive before 4pm tomorrow, you should definitely come on down to the Pinkberry in Hillcrest. The yogurt is definitelyyy worth checking out; the plain tart is amazing. (Gosh, could I sound like anymore of an enthusiastic employee? Ugh, haha)
Regardless, I hope you enjoy San Diego! I know I love this city a lot.

Text or call if you need anything. I’ll be right around the corner at another blogger event. Busy day for me!

And I flew home last night from my photography/blogger conference and there’s no free wifi on Southwest, I am ALWAYS sandwiched in the middle seat no matter what, someone is always invading my space, the armrest, snoring in my ear, or jabbering in it…traveling. Glamorous, right?

    🙂

I haven’t been on a plane forever. I’d love to kick back with a movie and airplane food – yep, I don’t care what it is – just to be up and going anywhere but here!

I can’t wait to hear about your 1st trip to Pinkberry. “Knowing” you from your blog, I’d suggest you try the original flavor with fruit/chocolate on top. The original is tangy-er and less sweet than the other flavors. And you don’t strike me as a super-sweet kind of gal (as far as your tastebuds go!!. You are obviously quite sweet personality-wise!!).

Pinkberry came to Harvard Square (where I work) this spring. A happy day for me!!

    Hi Kath,

Random question–What kind of netbook do you have? Do you like it? I have a blog too and want to start writing a book, so I just went to buy a new computer (mine broke, so I currently share one with my boyfriend). I was set on a netbook, after all, I just needed word on it. But, then I was convinced to pay a “little extra” to get an HP (regular) laptop.

But, I am still not convinced…it’s still in the box. Suggestions? Is a netbook too basic?

Thanks and have a great time!
