Trapped Banana

IMG_5481Blog

HELP! HELP! She is saying.

IMG_5484Blog

Made me feel so guilty for chowing down 🙁

IMG_5483Blog

An overnight oats delight made with 1/3 cup Coach’s Oats (I prefer rolled oats for overnight versions but I am out and CO work ok – just chewier), 1/3 cup greek yogurt, 1/2 cup milk, pinch salt, cinnamon, 1/3 cup frozen mixed berries, half banana, Morning O’s on top and Wild Squirrel PB swirl.

IMG_5480BlogIMG_5482Blog

Hot cup of COFFEE to warm me back up!!

IMG_5486Blog

GOSSIP GIRL – omg. The first ending really surprised me. The second ending surprised me more, but made sense. The third ending, however, I’ve been guessing for a loooong time. Is is true!?!? [PS. Don’t spoil anything in the comments!] It was a good episode!!

IMG_5485Blog

It’s a beautiful day!!

Kath- You breakfasts’ always look sooo good! You also have an amazing, toned body! Something I wish that I could have any given day! I was just curious, since you are an RD, do you know, on average, how many calories are in your oats? I have been eating Plain Greek yogurt and 1 cup of blueberries every morning for the past 2.5 years and love it! but of course would love to eat something else and feel satisfied… although, I am NOT hungry after my meal. I love the variety of the breakfasts you eat! I have celiac so restrict myself from ALL wheat/gluten items… even if they say “gluten free”. thanks! 🙂

      Hey Cat,
I believe one should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper, so I start my day out strong. I also don’t snack between breakfast and lunch. I used to have smaller breakfasts (much like yours) but I would always need a snack at 10-11am. I decided one day just to put all my eggs in the first breakfast basket and what-do-you-know – I didn’t need to think about eating again until lunch. I really liked that! My breakfasts are usually around 500 calories, give or take sometimes. They have a combo of protein from dairy, fruit, whole grains and fats, most often from chia seeds and nut butters. This keeps me full for 5 hours and works in many forms (smoothies, oatmeal, overnight oats, breakfast yogurt bowls).

      Good luck!

I cannot keep up with this crazy story line on GG! It has me totally into it, more than ever. I couldn’t believe the endings either. I am so confused about the XX – Blaire relationship. I just can’t really see it in comparison with XXX and here…they’ve got such good chemistry. Ah! I cannot wait for the real ending. I have absolutely no idea what happens.

Your overnight oats look delicious. I’ve kind of stopped having them since I’m now commuting to work (45-60 minutes). I don’t want to keep them in my lunch bag that long without some kind of cooling system going on.
