Trail Blazin’

NO CAVITIES! Cue this flashback photo from my last visit in August. Whee! Amy the Hygienist and I talked about babies the whole appointment. Well she talked, and I mumbled a lot 🙂

I actually really do like getting my teeth cleaned. All the poking and scraping feels good (probably because I have tough gums from flossing like a champ.) Once I got the cavity free news, I breathed a huge sigh.

I came home and nibbled on this snack before heading out on a walk:

This trail mix is coming to OpenSky in a handful of flavors. I absolutely love the packaging design and names (this is The Walrus!) and the flavor profiles are pretty awesome too. The Walrus is slightly chocolate covered almonds and goji berries, mixed. [Does anyone else think goji berries taste like graham crackers!?] Coming to OpenSky tomorrow: WILD SQUIRREL! This time both peanut and almond butter!

Before going out on my walk, I got a text from Matt that two blog readers were at the bakery and wanted to meet me and ask about Cville – they’re thinking about moving here. I said if they were willing to walk, I’d be willing to talk! So we went on an hour sightseeing tour around town and had a great time chatting. The tour even ended with a mini beer tasting (not for me!)

Hi from Elyse and PJ!

2012-03-06 17.49.15Blog

Dinner was simple yet satisfying.

IMG_7150Blog

Condiment army:

IMG_7147Blog

No Bull Burger, baked, on a Virginia Roll. And K+M smothered on top with some jalapenos!

IMG_7149Blog

Pikal on the side!

IMG_7151Blog

We also had some veggies – steamed collards. The only way I could see myself eating them was ELF style – smothered in sugar. So I broke out some Dr. Pete’s Praline Mustard Glaze and covered ‘em! I actually couldn’t even finish them all – toooooo sweet! But at least I got some down : )

IMG_7154Blog

I wish I had another plum – I’d eat it for dessert! Fruit is soooo appealing. Might go eat some grapes or a popsicle. Interestingly, as my stomach volume seems to be slightly reduced (or I’m just feeling more full lately due to less hunger in general?) the less I want ice cream for dessert. It seems too filling! Fruit sounds refreshing though. I’m thirsty!

Nite!

I was heading up to the court house to meet my walking group around 5:45, and a woman who looked an awful lot like you walked by with another woman and a man, and now that you’ve posted their pictures, I *think* it might have been those two? I said to myself at the time, “That looked an awful lot like Kath!” but I didn’t want be all interrupty and ask or anything. 🙂
