Tofu Donut Milkshake

Who wants a sandwich!?

IMG_0062 (640x427)

Today the sandwich wizards did a fabulous job making sandwiches for all of our neighbors here at McIntire Plaza. They practiced making ‘wiches and then we delivered them around.

IMG_0061 (640x427)

Danskos for comfort!

IMG_0065 (640x427)

And then we feasted!

IMG_0069 (640x427)

Day 3 of sandwiches for lunch. It’s pretty cool that I can eat a free sandwich at my workplace any day I like! They are pretty awesome too! I had turkey then hummus and today: Twin Oaks Tofu with basil pesto, mater, lettuce, cucumber, and mayo (we did a taste test – it adds a lot of mouthfeel!). Deeelish! I haven’t had the Curried Tuna salad myself, but Matt’s had it two days in a row and it might be my favorite one!!

IMG_0068 (640x427)

IMG_0067 (640x427)

For dessert – we were given some Carpe Donuts – a local organic donut shop right in our shopping center.

IMG_0071 (640x427)

My first time trying them! They are made with a touch of apple cider and are amazing!

IMG_0072 (427x640)

Especially the crunchy sugar topping.

IMG_0073 (640x427)

I had half and went back for 1/4 more!

IMG_0075 (640x427)

We think we’ve decided on a menu board placement – time to get hanging. Along with the 1,000 other things on our to-do list!!

IMG_0088 (427x640)

See ya!

    hi! Im Kath.

I'm a Registered Dietitian, healthy eater, and mom of two from Charlottesville, Virginia. Here you’ll find a healthy mix of real-life meals made from whole ingredients balanced with the pleasures of life, including buttercream frosting and good wine. Plus a sprinkle of nutrition, home life, beauty, parenting, and travel.
