…To Buy A Fat Pig

Home again, home again, jiggety-jig

IMG_8635 (640x427) (2)

I’ve waited my whole life to live near a fabulous farmer’s market to which I could get to without turning on an engine. We just had a quick breakfast and are setting off on bike.

And the best part is it’s only about 66* out there! The AC just got turned off and windows are open. I LOVE a house with open windows!!

We’ll talk about this new bowl later today!

My OpenSky shop went through a major update yesterday! Still working out the kinks, and my product photos + descriptions need to be reinstated, but so far it looks really cool and much more user friendly. I’ve also got a few awesome products in the works. The Restaurant.com gift certificate-with-purchase deal is over today – act now or never!

I wish I lived that close to a farmer’s market! I will one day! So glad you are feeling cozy at your new place. I am so ready for cooler weather…it is already in the high 70’s here in Atlanta, so it will be a scorcher again today! Enjoy your Saturday!

We live close to a farmer’s market, but it’s SUPER small. When I was living in Indiana, I lived within walking distance of the BEST farmer’s market!!! I LOVED waking up on Saturday and walking down to it!!!

I feel so lucky to live within walking distance of 3-4 farmer’s markets, all on different days of the week. It’s really nice to be able to meander over and not have to pollute the Earth to buy local produce.

I’ll have to check out your shop soon!

Yep, and we need to make sure this generation learns Mother Goose. She’s part of the great heritage of the English language! The bears can now recite rhyme after rhyme.

I’m glad you are settling in and enjoying Charlottesville! Your place is so cute and nicely decorated 🙂 I can’t wait to get a place of our own ( and quit renting!) I wanted to tell you about a great place for chocolates (besides Kilwins of course): Gerhardt’s chocolates downtown Charlottesville is AMAZING. The tequilla lime truffle is to die for. Check it out if you get any free time!

Okay, I’ve had an oatmeal addiction for years, and stumbling upon your blog has been nothing but reinforcement (of a good habit, luckily). Nearly every time I see your scrumptious oatmeal bowls I end up making a confetti-like concoction of my own. New place looks like a dream — the eye for colors and shapes and clean “flavors” that makes your breakfasts so beautiful most certainly shows up in your interior decorating too.

One of the biggest things that I miss about our old house is being in WALKING distance to an awesome local market! Now I have to drive at least 15-20 mins to get there 🙁 Glad you are enjoying being so close to downtown! Oh- and it was like 100 degrees here today!
