Tis A Gift To Be Simple

IMG_1171

The view from our bed

 this !

I was up from 5-6am this morning with a squirming baby who would not settle down! I often wonder if he squirms all night and I just happened to wake up for another reason and it prevented me from going back to sleep or if this was an unusual amount of kicking that woke me up. I tend to think the former because I finally went and had a few sips of OJ from the fridge and was able to fall right back to sleep. Juice does it every time. Miracle.

The lazy beach days have begun. No one had energy to do anything other than pour cereal and milk in a bowl for breakfast! I complemented mine with Cville Cluster Granola and sunflower butter!

I’m just going to pretend I didn’t read about this:

And head out to the sun!

    Beautiful way to wake up!

That’s funny about the oj. When I would go for NST’s during the final weeks of my pregnancy with twins I would get served OJ or apple juice to ‘wake’ ’em up so they would be more active!

    Enjoy your day!

I have no idea if this is true, but I have a theory that when you’re awake your body releases some kind of signal that you’re up and I think the baby picks up on those signals. My baby will often be completely still until my eyes open and then the kicks begin. Maybe that’s not true, but it sure seems that way!
