The Next Peanut Butter Star

IMG_1283 (640x427)

A bold statement. But I am very. very. excited

 this !

Nutty’s makes all the peanut butter flavors (and textures!) you could dream of. The consistency is SPOT on. And the taste is amazing.

IMG_1288 (640x427) (2)

The four flavors I’ve had the privilege of trying are below, with the Peanut Butterscotch completely blowing me away. It’s everything wonderful about butterscotch toffee. I am just in love with the texture of them all. A bit gritty and a bit liquidy – perfect for melting on oats [or pancakes!]

IMG_1284 (640x427) (2)IMG_1287 (640x427) (2) IMG_1286 (640x427) (2) IMG_1285 (640x427) (2)

Choices:

Flavor Lover’s Pack [tri pack for $21 with White Chocolate Chip peanut butter + Peanut Butterscotch + Peanut Butter Cup]

Nut Lovers Pack [tri pack for $21 with Honey Roasted Crunch + Peanut Butter Brickle + Date Walnut]

Chocolate Lovers Pack [tri pack for $21 White Chocolate Chip + Chocolate Marble + Peanut Butter Cup]

White Chocolate Chip [two pack for $14]

Honey Roasted Crunch [two pack for $14]

Cinnamon Raisin [two pack for $14]

and my personal favorite…

Peanut Butterscotch [two pack for $14]

Oh, and they’re throwing in a bag of peanut butter pretzels with every purchase through the end of the month!

IMG_8940 (640x427)

Nutty’s is all-natural, but the ingredient list is longer than most of the “just peanuts” versions. For that reason I wouldn’t make this your end-all-be-all nut butter (unless you just LOVE the Butterscotch!!). But the ingredients are OK with me for a product that I use sparingly anyways and enjoy the taste so much. [I also don’t know where you can find the nutrition facts, but I imagine since the density of peanut butter doesn’t really vary much that these would be comparable to 180-200 Kcal/2 tbsp, if you’re wondering. I’m not worried about the grams of sugar in 1 tbsp of a product that’s probably 90% peanuts either.]

Means to serve peanut butter = Kodiak Cakes!

IMG_1279 (640x427)

Banana is back!

IMG_1296 (640x427) (2)

I topped my serving of Kodiak’s with half a banana, chia seeds and a tsp of each of the four flavors of PB. (It was tempting to put on a tablespoon of each, but then I might feel sick!]

Cool Coffee. Never iced.

Does cinnamon raisin have actual raisins mixed in? All these flavours sound soooooo good. Man. If you told somebody about what you had for breakfast and left out the “pan” part in “pancakes”, then you would just have “cakes topped with sliced banana and butterscotch, cinnamon raisin, white chocolate chips and peanut butter cup.” Don’t that sound awesome.

I haven’t tasted a flavor that I didn’t like, but butterscotch is amazing and really unique to their brand! Hey Kelly…they are working on getting Kath the nutrition info, but also, they will respond to all inquiries about nutrition info from their web site. www.nuttyspeanutbutter.com

Understandable, but as I said in the post, unless it’s a PB product like PB2, all the nutritionals are pretty similar. I hear you can call them to get the info, and I also requested it to put up here too.

Yay for new nut butters! I don’t blame you for wanting a tbsp of each 🙂 I am surprised they can be sold without nutritional info, though.

I haven’t had a ton of their flavors, but I think they are probably comparable (although like I said, the Butterscotch is incredible). I like the texture of these most of all.

Hi Kath–if you are still in the market for Rivanna trail running, try catching the trailhead in Riverside Park. (I wrote previously about this a few posts ago.) If you know where Onesty Park (new waterpark close to intersection of Meade and E. Market) is, take Chesapeake St. to the very end. Right before it bends around to the right, turn left into Riverside Park. The trail is beautiful, flat, paved, and runs by the river.

    Good luck in your search…

I think it’s a requirement for food bloggers to love nut butters, isn’t it?! We’re all obsessed–in a healthy kind of way 🙂 I’ve never tried white chocolate or butterscotch peanut butter, but everyone’s rave reviews have convinced me to try them! (I’m a lover of all things white chocolate, too).

Hope you’re having a good day!

Don’t you ever put maple syrup on pancakes? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you do it. I could not bear to always eat my pancakes without maple syrup! Is that just because I’m Canadian?

I find that it just soaks through too fast! And if I use it as a dipper on the side, my toppings fall off. And I just really like multiple textures. Guess I’m just weird!

Oh wow — you totally had me at “butterscotch”! Butterscotch and peanut butter – I’m pretty sure there isn’t a more perfect combination of elements anywhere in this galaxy. Definitely gonna have to be on the lookout for this stuff.

Those peanut butters look DEEEELICIOUS! But don’t peanuts have like 1/50th the nutrition of almonds? I switched to almond butter about a year ago and have never looked back. Maybe I’m wrong? Enlighten me! 🙂

I wouldn’t say 1/50th 🙂 But almonds do have a few more benefits. But peanuts are still a good food!

Im with the foreigners here, NZ = plain peanut butters only…maybe I’ll have to make my own. Cinnamon! Also a touch confused at the no hydrogentated oil – and then canola oil? Unless I am misinterpreting something.

Do you consider canola oil–which has been heavily genetically modified in laboratories–a “real food”? We still don’t know the consequences of eating GMO products on a long term basis, so do you deem this really healthy?
