Sweet Natural Dreams

This post is sponsored by Brentwood Home

Good morning! How did you sleep last night? Were your pillows lumpy or your mattress too springy? If so, I have a post to share that might inspire you to upgrade your sleeping arrangements.

Foodblog (2 of 4)

Brentwood Home is a Los Angeles-based company that makes natural, organic, hand-crafted mattresses. They also make pillows, sheets and dreamy candles! Everything is made with green sourcing and responsibility in mind.

Foodblog (10 of 13)

The mattresses are made right here in the USA from organic cotton and latex. They also are made of wool, which is naturally wicking and regulates body temperature. It is also a natural fire retardant, which is much safer than traditional fire retardants. All of the mattresses come with a 120-night guarantee to ensure you love it.

Brentwood sent me a twin mattress – the S-Bed in medium firmness – for this post, and we replaced Mazen’s old mattress one with it.The S-Bed is made of gel-infused memory foam with an all-natural wool sleep surface and organic latex.

Foodblog (7 of 13)

I imagined a huge truck showing up with the mattress on my doorstep, but it actually came in very minimal packaging wrapped up in a tiny roll. The unwrapping process was quite exciting as it filled up with air in my kitchen!!

Foodblog (2 of 13)

I feel so much better that Mazen is sleeping on natural products, and the Brentwood mattress is SO much more comfortable than his old springy one (which we bought as a guest room mattress 10 years ago…) It’s much thicker, plusher and doesn’t bounce around when we sit on the bed for storytime.

Foodblog (11 of 13)

Sylvia and Mazen had a blast playing on it! Two little monkeys jumping on the bed.

Foodblog (1 of 1)

Best of all – Brentwood mattresses are not super expensive – a king size is under $1,000. I have a special code to share with you all – enter KathEats15 for 15% off any Brentwood Home purchase!

Foodblog (13 of 13)

Additionally I have a natural pillow and soy wax candle to giveaway to one lucky reader! Enter below and tell me about one of your recent sweet dreams!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

This post was sponsored by Brentwood Home. The S-Bed was sent to me to review.

Ooh I will have to check out these mattresses! My husband and I have been wanting to upgrade to a king, but have a narrow staircase up to our master. If this mattress comes all rolled up, it should be easier to get up the stairs. Also, I only remember my dreams when I am woken by my husband getting up and the. Fall back asleep. And they are always so peculiar!!

I think he was about 2 and just started to refuse his crib as a toddler bed and want to sleep in the twin in his room. (Already having a twin in there made this much easier!) So we got a side rail and just let him take the lead. He never went back, so it was pretty easy for us.

I don’t usually remember my dreams. The last one I remember was more of a funny nightmare, my husband traded in my car and got me a Buick regal from the 80’s, and he paid $15,000. Funny but scary enough that it woke me up.

My wife and I just purchased a new Serta I-comfort king (memory) and we love it. We compared it to Tempur-Pedic (memory) which I really liked but my wife preferred the Serta so we went with that and honestly either was fine with me.

It is important to find a bed that is comfy for you.

i recently had a dream about being at camp with all my camp friends…it was bittersweet because i haven’t seen them in so long, but it gave me the spark under my butt to finally get back in touch with them and plan a date to get together!

Sadly, I don’t remember most of my dreams anymore and the only dream I can remember is one where I was at work 🙁

I teach elementary school and my back to school dreams have already started. Last night I dreamt that my classroom was still completely packed up and a total mess when all of my new students showed up for the first day of school! Yikes!

Maybe if I had a better pillow, I’d remember my dreams! I do have one that doesn’t off-gas anything nasty (I think it’s latex and cotton), but it horribly lumpy and flat.

The dreams I tend to remember are the bad ones. But I dream of finishing my school projects in time to go home again before the school year starts

I can’t remember many dreams lately because I have a newborn. 🙂 But the night feedings sure are sweet!

So hard to remember, but I do recall a fraction of one the other night where my husband and I were getting ready for a dinner party.

I have always been a very vivid dreamer and remember lots of dreams, even from when I was a child. I have several recurring themes that occur in dreams when I’m stressed…tornadoes and dinosaurs. The dream itself is always different, but there are always tornadoes and/or dinosaurs involved. My husband thinks I’m a little bit crazy…

I’ve been dreaming about meeting our baby girl that’s due Oct. 19th. Last night’s dream I noticed she had hazel eyes. 🙂

My latest sweetest dream was that I was Mindy Kaling and I was going to be marrying Matthew Mcconaughey. I was pretty darn happy in my dream! My husband didn’t think that it was quite as sweet as I did. 😉

Kath, just want to say, I feel your sponsored posts (the few and far between they are) really fit in well with your blog brand. You seem to partner with brands that you would actually buy with your own money, and that aren’t a stretch to fit into your lifestyle/fitness topics. Yet another reason I respect you and your work and will keep reading as long as you keep posting!

I’ve been having really stressful dreams lately! Even though I’ve been done with grad school for two years, in the past month I’ve had THREE dreams about not being prepared for a test/paper/presentation!

Do these mattresses come with any kind of warranty? Couldn’t find it on their website. Seriously looking to buy from them though! This post couldn’t come at a more perfect time!

Yes, I found this on the site:

Rest assured that your mattress is made to the highest quality standards and comes protected with a 25-Year Limited Warranty against any manufacturing defects.
