Straw Into Gold

Good morning to you all! Sleeping much better with my lower doses of caffeine : )

IMG_3245edited

You know how Rumpelstiltskin turned straw into gold?

IMG_3228edited

These raw ingredients turned into liquid gold

IMG_3213edited

Liquid green gold

The Mix

  • (for TWO smoothies)
  • 2 big handfuls spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup Vega Choc-a-lot
  • 2 tbsp PB flour (sadly couldn’t taste it at all)
  • 1.5 cups milk

IMG_3239edited

Toppings included toasted buckwheat (I think I said mine was raw a while ago, but it’s definitely toasted from the WF bulk bins) So nice and crunchy on top! Plus a sprinkle of Ambrosial granola and coconut butter!

Vixen strut her stuff right onto my bowl!

I’m meeting Faith at my gym for BodyPump (it’s bring-a-friend-for-free-First-Friday!) today and then have a writing project for the afternoon. Tonight is the First Friday Gallery Crawl again!

How sad you couldn’t taste the pb flour. I bet it would have made the smoothie even more phenomenal.

I have yet to try a smoothie in a bowl with some toppings. I’m struggling to keep my spinach intake up since it has turned cold.

I overdid it on the coffee yesterday and slept bad! But maybe it was the wine…less of both today!
There definitely are raw buckwheat groats out there, I used to eat a raw parfait with them in Portland.
    Let’s pump it up!

Looks super yummy. However, I’d love to know where you got that big storage glass container for your oatmeal?!? I’ve been looking for one just like that 🙂 Ikea, Crate and Barrel? I’d sure love to know 🙂
You should do a post all about your storage containers, dishes, decorating, etc.
