Sticky + Dusty

IMG_5310-2Blog

It’s rather sticky here this morning – I had to turn the AC down a notch!

It’s also very dusty here. I don’t dust that often, but the house seems to have accumulated a layer of dirt while I was gone. Must have been those stinky boys!

Breakfast this morning was a Blackberry Smoothie

IMG_5318-2Blog

Heavy on the blackberries! Made with milk, banana, blackberries, chia seeds, plain yogurt, Nature’s Path granola and Clementine Cashew Butter!

IMG_5312-2Blog

Krissy of Make It Naked dropped by the bakery while I was gone and brought me this and a delicious pecan butter. The clem flavor is spot on!!

IMG_5317-2BlogIMG_5315-2Blog

And the Adagio Coconut Tea is everything I hoped it would be!!!

IMG_5313-2BlogIMG_5308-2Blog

I stayed up till 12:30 last night…partly jet-jagged and party because I discovered you can download apps to your Android phone to change the keyboard! I bought Perfect Keyboard and LOVE the changes – you can use different skins (and even have an iPhone keyboard) and there’s a punctuation toolbar so you can have @ and : ) right at your fingertips. Really liked it!

Now I just need a bigger screen to fit this new keyboard!

I have lots to catch up on today – have a good one!

I love the flavor of blackberries, but not so much the seeds. Adding the granola like you did would help with that texture issue. Btw, your delicious oatmeal pics gotme back on the bandwagon eating it. Delicious. Healthy. Thanks, Kath!

    Kath,
I’ve been admiring your breakfasts for three years! Do you try to eat a specific number of calories every morning with your oatmeal based bowls? I was just wondering because they seem hearty and nutritious and seem to keep you going for hours. I am striving to be able to eat an oatmeal bowl that keeps me full for four hours.
    Thanks!

I know sort of that they are around 500 calories – but I don’t count. I know if I eat closer to 300 I’ll be too hungry and I know 700 is too much. 400-600 works well for me and lasts me 4-6 hours.

    Hi Kath,

I really like the look of your blog and I was just wondering if you designed your blog yourself, and if you use a theme or you wrote all the code? Also, did you do the header yourself?
    Thanks – Karen

I did it myself, but I started with a very customizable theme. I did have to learn some CSS and did a ton of Googling, but CSS isn’t as hard to figure out as HTML. I did my header too, but I don’t think it’s that great!
