Spiders Not Invited

IMG_9162Blog

Started my day by squashing a spider…!

Otherwise, good morning!!

When Matt walked in the door with a loaf of Cville Crunch last night, I made plans for toast for breakfast. Spiders not invited.

IMG_9160Blog

I layered Vermont Apple Butter (from a blog reader!), sunflower butter, banana and Biscoff on top of two toasted slices. Tasted good, yo.

IMG_9152Blog

On the side I made a vanilla tea latte – latte because I used extra milk for extra protein. Creamy!

IMG_9157Blog

It’s dark, dreary and rainy here, but it’s one of those times that I know sunshine is on the other end of the day, so it’s cool.

IMG_9151Blog

Bon voyage!

I hate when people choose to “free” the spider vs killing it. I am paranoid that the little creature will find its way back to me only to freak me out again!

I really need to take this as a sign and just get the dang frother already!!! I’ve been wanting frothy morning drinks, just keep putting it off.

    Also

BISCOFF!!!!!!! Barb (Creativeculinary on twitter) has fallen in love with it, sings its praises often and thus has sent me on a hunt for it! I am waiting for it to get back in stock at my local store. I can’t wait to try it!!!!

And Spiders are not good!!! I’ve been bitten twice by Brown Recluses, and spent 2weeks in the hospital because of it!! They are no joke! I’m glad you squashed it! 🙂

The trouble with spiders is that it takes me so long to work up the nerve to kill it, yet they move so quickly. I once just sucked one up with the vacuum – that thing was HUGE! *shudder*

I had a visit from a large hairy spider in my bedroom a couple of nights ago and I thought of you. I wish I could tell you I took the high road and gently scooped him up and let him live the rest of his life outside but that is not what happened. Here’s to a spiderless day.

Drat! My brother uses the sticky traps in his garage and basement and he catches tons of them – he’s even caught mice in his garage in the autumn when they start to look for a warm place to nest for the winter. I think if you decide to use those it should DEFINITELY be Matt’s job to pick up the full traps – yucky! Good luck!

I’m such a wimp when it comes to spiders, or any bugs really. If someone else is around, I’ll make them deal with it. I don’t want to be anywhere near them!

I totally get being scared of the poisonous spiders. However if I were you I would get really good at recognizing recluses and hobos, and take a moment to catch the other little guys and take them out. It would mean being brave, and taking a few moments out of your day, but spiders are an imprtant part of our ecosystem, and deserve to live their little lives too!

Is there a way to have the Cvill Crunch bread sent to me in Oregon? I drool everytime you have it for breakfast and need to get my paws on a loaf (or 20) ASAP! A couple jars of Biscoff spread would be appreciated as well. I have yet to try that and have heard from you and many others that it’s to die for. Hook me up 🙂
