Snip Snip

I was lucky enough to have top of the line service today when our kitchen turned into a beauty parlor! Matt’s friend from Great Harvest, Kris, has a cosmetology license and came over to cut his hair – and I asked if she could give me a trim as well! It was FUN!!! Thanks so much for the cut Kris 🙂

Just a snip snip – nothing major.

I was late for my walk with Victoria from my hair cut and made it just in time to swap books and get to Community. I nibbled through this guy at 5:30. Love this flavor!!

IMG_1437 (640x480)

It kept me feeling full well into the loooooong first class. Class was great – it’s going to be a fun semester! We got out at 7:45 and I was home by 8:30.

And found Tuna Nooda Casserole warming in the oven! (That’s not a typo- that’s what we call it here because Tuna. Noodle. is too hard to say fast!) Have I cooked any of the meals this week!? I told Matt he could cook or not and we only had a few things on hand, so it would probably be a pantry meal if he did. His casserole rocked!

IMG_1440 (480x640)

In a nutshell, he cooked 3OZ of whole wheat rotini and a red bell pepper and a handful of cherry tomatoes. On the side, he made the sauce with about a cup of 2% milk, a tbsp of flour, red curry powder (the secret ingredient!!), garlic, sriratcha and S+P. He pulverized about a cup of Great Harvest bread crumbs and stirred 1/3 of those with the noodles, sauce and a can of tuna. Put the rest on top and baked for ~30 minutes at 350*.

Whew!

IMG_1445 (480x640)

Yum, yum

IMG_1442 (480x640)

I was just craving a glass of milk with this so I had one. Cool and comforting.

IMG_1441 (640x480)

When I pulled into the garage tonight I noticed a huge package in the driveway and found THESE!!!!!!!!

IMG_1438 (640x480)

PINEAPPLE! Yehaw! Thanks Chobani.

IMG_1439 (640x480)

After watching the final episode of Gossip Girl (and pinning Matt down to reluctantly watch it with me, followed by “his” show of some Conan together), I’m headed up to bed.

I love @ home haircuts! I bought a set of clippers for $20 and my wife gives me a haircut every month. I can’t even remember how much money I have saved by going that route, but it is great. Honestly, she does as good or better than any barbers or other professionals that I have tried. Plus, she works for home cooked meals. 🙂

Of course, I am a guy, so it is a little easier to cut my hair. 😛
