Slept "Late"

According to new time I slept late.

According to old time I was up at 7!

Still got a good night’s rest and am hyped for my big run today. And nervous – not about the mileage, but about all the factors that could prevent me from finishing! Foot, blister, who knows what!

Matt and I made a spectacular breakfast and then cleaned and polished the whole house in preparation for our showing today at 1PM. Love that I now have a good reason to make him help me clean 🙂 When the two of us do it together it only takes about 30 minutes top to bottom. Love how fresh it smells too! The Method Almond Wood Floor cleaner is super expensive, but it does make my floors shine and smells great.

Today was one of those days where I woke up and realized I had the whole morning to enjoy a huge bowl of oatmeal and practically bounded out of bed!

It was an extra delicious mix indeed

The Mix

  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 2 tbsp Bob’s Red Mill Apple Cinnamon Hot Cereal (I just love the texture of oats and hot cereals combined)
  • Lots of water
  • 1/2 cup organic 2% milk (I’ve switched back from 2% to skim milk after realizing that I like skim in my coffee just as much, but Matt got 2% yesterday by accident!)
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • Pinch salt
  • Splash vanilla
  • Toppings: Galaxy Granola, Crofter’s North America and an extra large spoonful of Naturally Nutty Vanilla Peanut Butter!

IMG_7941 (640x427)

EarthFare coffee (2/3) + Christmas Blend decaf (1/3)

I’ve got 1.5 hours till I’m meeting Emily. Just enough time to get a bit more computer work done and then enjoy the whole day!

[PS. I’m going to be updating WordPress so if anything weird happens, you know why]

I ahve to say, you lost me on the coffee foam image, but I still love the look of the oatmeal! As a non-American though, I’m wondering – is the 2% higher or lower in fat than skim?

Everytime I see a picture of your oats with Crofter’s in it I’m more and more tempted to get some!
Though I’m not one for added sugars, I’m sure there aren’t too many in it from what I’ve seen.

Also, good luck on your run, I hope nothing bad happens to your feet!

    Happy Pi day. ^_^

I was up at 6:30 and I dragged myself out because I knew that I wouldn’t get enough sleep tonight if I didn’t. I do love daylights savings time, though. I love the extra light in the evenings.

Given a little controversy that popped up on your blog (two years ago??) about a comment you made, I thought you might find this article interesting.

Oh, I meant to tell you that on Thurs, you left the CDA meeting too early! They still had a raffle for the fruit basket and YOUR name was called for that too!!! They waited like 5 minutes before going to the second person 🙁 At least you still got a gift card to Borders! 😉
