Sleepless In Seattle

Why-oh-why did I not think of that title last week!?

I’m sleepless in Cville again. I think it’s more time zone change than anything else. I actually fell asleep on time last night, but then I got a few texts from CAITLIN and the excitement in them kept my mind awake until 12:30! I snacked on almonds and juice (was hungry!) and tried reading some more before I finally fell asleep until Matt pounced on me this morning after his run ready to make a smoothie! I wasn’t quite ready to get up and get going, so he ended up going to work for bread and I made a bowl of cereal.

Major, major props to all pregnant ladies who have to be at work at the crack of dawn regardless of your sleeping habits.

In the bowl: Puffins Original!, chias, cherries (with a separate pit bowl!) and milk.

Served with Lipton regular and a splash of milk

I have missed my Wednesday cycle class many weeks in a row now – it’s too early to eat breakfast, blog and make it on time. But the sun is out and I hope to make up for that with a walk later after a morning conf. call.

I love cherries but they seem like too much work to add in cereal in terms of the pit!

Mmm I can’t wait to pick up some cherries at the grocery store (or maybe the market) this weekend. Sorry to hear you didn’t sleep well! Sounds like you’ve got a nice sunny day ahead though. Enjoy your walk!

I don’t know if I could eat cherries in my cereal like that – the pits would annoy me too much! I think I have to enjoy them alone. They look pretty though!

Haha – I HATE when I think of a really good title too late! It still works though. Or you could’ve done “Sleepless FROM [My Time In] Seattle” – haha.

Love that you had an extra pit bowl – was going to ask if I was the only one! 🙂

I’ve been craving cereal a lot lately! I’ve been adding chia and protein powder to it. I love how thick it gets. Topped with frozen berries to chill me off from the heat outside. I hope you get a little rest in today. Have a great day Kath!

As a pregnant woman who has to be at work at 7:30 every morning I have to say it sucks indeed. But with the help of lots of afternoon naps and sleeping in as late as possible on the weekends it’s not too bad…especially in the second trimester 🙂

That bowl looks terrific, even though it’s so simple. We’ve had cherries on sale this week here in Ohio but compared to sale prices in California, where I’m from, I’m left with a little sticker shock. I’ve seen Ohio-grown cherries but they’re sour, not sweet 🙁

When I was pregnant I was selling timeshare at a resort and had to be on the property at 7am because we gave breakfast pitches to those at the resort. Omg it was miserable. I was never a morning person and definitely not then. Lol

I give major, major props to women who have to work while pregnant, even if they do not get sufficient amounts of sleep each night! I had to work part-time for our first child. However, I did not have to be at work until 8:30AM, and it only took 15-20 minutes to get to work. As for the pregnant women who have a haul to and from work, props again!

So so so jealous of you eating cherries. I went to the farmer’s market on tuesday and tried a few and I almost died — SOOOO GOOOD! But the price– not so good 🙁 I can’t afford $7 for a couple cherries (I think it was a pint??) *sadness*
