Sat Happenins

A little sunshine poked into the day. And a little salad made an appearance too!

IMG_7941Blog

Spinach leaves with hummus and pickles counts as salad, right!?

Reheat n Eat

Grapes wedged in between

And more of the same teabag from breakfast (think thrifty)

Despite the fact that I had just had pizza for lunch, there is nothing quite like the corner of downtown that houses Christian’s Pizza. Such wonderful boardwalk pizza smells waft about.

2012-03-24 14.22.56Blog

The walk downtown was to greet Allie, who is visiting with her friend Szeman

Matt and I met them at Rev Soup and chatted followed by ice cream cones for a snack at Chaps, my new favorite ice cream parlor! I had the oreo flavor in a sugar cone

2012-03-24 15.13.02Blog

And this was taken before the ice cream, but I am bustin’ out of my low-rise maternity jeans. Full panel hear I come! I swear my belly grows half an inch out each night!

2012-03-24 14.23.56Blog

Allie wanted to see Cottage KERF, so we chilled here for a while and then took her to her old stompin’ grounds.

2012-03-24 17.18.14Blog

Whilst there I tasted the new Maple Pecan scuffin – which was like a southern biscuit with a mildly sweet maple glaze. Delish!

We’re back at home now (and I’m hungry again – after a few days of NON hunger, I’m back to being insatiable!) Thinking about dinner!

Kath, you are looking great! I’ve been living in Cville since August, but have yet to Christian’s pizza! And I haven’t tried Bodo’s bagels yet, either. I need to get on both of those things stat! I have tried Chaps ice cream, though and loved it!

You look great pregnant! And congrats on the sex of the baby (I have yet to comment on BERF)! All your foods look so enticing (especially that pizza) since I’ve been drinking soup for the past two days (sore throat). I just want some real food; I could totally go for pizza now.

Thank you so so so much for the bread and sweets. I came home and yelped for Peter to come help me carry it up to the kitchen. By the time I got up there (0.02 seconds later), he had a maple pecan scuffin IN his mouth as he was grabbing a plate from the cabinet. He approves :). I glutened it up myself with the pecan swirl bread (!!!!!!!!!) and those gooey cookies.

So good to see you again. Hopefully I’ll be back down again with more time to play.
