Reclaimed

Loving the sunshine.

Loving this reclaimed wood Andres brought to our house for possible projects.

Loving the 50% off sale at LOFT today!! I just got back from a quick trip there and got $300 of stuff for $98*!!

*I realize this is not 50% but I think there were other sales/discounts applied too!

Lunch-8BlogIMG_1791Blog

I lost track of time and it was 1pm when I got home – lunchtime reclaimed!

IMG_1792Blog

I made a big spinach salad with carrots, green pepper, garbanzos, avocado, olive oil and nutritional yeast on top.

IMG_1797Blog

And slurped up a bowl of Oikos with cranberry sauce on top. This might be my all-time favorite yogurt combination. I have more cranberries in my fridge – must make more sauce!

IMG_1794Blog

Have a good one!

Like you could buy a brand new table x 5 for some of the prices they charge for a reclaimed one. LOFT has been having some unbelievable sales this season as has Banana. It’s rare not to get at least 30% off both, and when combined with my teacher’s discount, most of clothes have been super cheap. I only buy play clothes at LOFT – not professional clothes – but still…

If you google “nutritional yeast msg” you’ll find tons of forums debating the effects of processing on the naturally occurring msg in nutritional yeast. many people have stopped using. it’s quite confusing.. I need to set aside some time to research it more before I continue using it! 🙂

There is not any MSG in nutrional yeast, or at least I’ve never seen any brands containing MSG. It’s simply an inactive form of yeast containing a good amino acid profile and the all important vitamin B-12, which is lacking in a vegan diet. Red Star is one of the most popular brands and they are typically the supplier of the nutrional yeast found in the bulk bins at WF, where you can find the flakes and/or powdered form inexpensively (it’s very light in weight.)
