Poker Face

It’s been a while since I’ve been to a cycle class! Enjoyed one immensely this morning. I need to get back to doing one class a week. I just hate the dark room and being tied down for a full hour (during my normal gym routines I can switch up my activity every 20-30 mins and it keeps me from getting bored). But today’s class was good. I went early because we’re hitting the road as soon as I’m off work to get to Asheville in time for dinner!

IMG_3631 (640x427)

I wasn’t hungry when I got up this morning, but I put a little of the Vega Sport powder in my water bottle to prevent mid-workout hunger. It worked really well – I wasn’t even that hungry for breakfast! I think Brendan is on to something…

It tasted a bit gross – like green + black tea with lime in it. It has yerba mate – I think that’s the taste I detected. But it seemed to have worked!

IMG_3622 (640x427)

So you know in GaGa’s "Poker Face" when she says "Oh. Oh-oh. Oh Oh. Oh."?

I’ve been singing "Dough. Dough-dough. Dough dough. Dough." since assembling this Great Harvest Flax Oat Bran sandwich breakfast. I didn’t toast the bread because I wanted it to be super doughy – and it is!

IMG_3649 (640x427)

I started photographing breakfast inside because I’m short on time. But I couldn’t stand it the photos were so awful! Outside we go…

2 thick slices doughy FOB with half a mashed banana (for glossiness) and a spread of Nuttzo and Maranatha Dark Choco Almond Butter!! SO GOOD!

IMG_3643 (640x427)

Eaten with a mini fork!

IMG_3651 (640x427)

This nice insta-cup of coffee is a Starbucks Via! I have no time to clean a french press this morning. I really like instant coffee for days when I’m in the mood and in a pinch! Italian Roast is def. NOT my favorite, but it was just what I needed today. I find the Vias to be really strong and thick – just like french press and WAY better than Starbucks drip coffee.

Do you think you need to get special shoes for spinning or do you think regular shoes are ok. I can’t go more than once a week but I really need to change up my XT days and I would like to go to my gym’s spinning class but I don’t know if I won’t to spend money on extra stuff.
