Pizza Passion

Still not quite sure what the final verdict is, but things ended OK. 3 hours of conference calls. Lots of emotions. It’s been one roller coaster of a day.

I finally was able to eat something around 5 and found half a peach in the fridge. I really couldn’t stomach much else.

We had plans to meet friends at Brixx – perhaps our favorite Charlotte restaurant – for dinner at 7:30. Matt and I arrived early to put our name on the list and went for a walk.

Then met our friends for a fun casual dinner.

Matt and I shared a beer sampler – 1554 rocks!

I had one starving stomach by the time the first food came out. I started to get those stomach pains I get sometimes when I wait too long to eat (I think it’s gas?)  Diana shared one of her Bruschetta pieces with me and I gave her one of ours when ours arrived a while later. Had 2-3 of these guys..

Plus a bite of Foodie Fresh pita and hummus 🙂

IMG_7945 (640x427) (2)

For dinner I got the Brixx salad

And shared the Americo with Matt. Had a slice and a half.

I will miss Brixx…allllthhhhough…. it looks like one should open in Charlottesville this September!!! Yay! It followed us 🙂

Running in a 4 mile race tomorrow. Not the best timing, but should be fun with friends.

This Zombie needs to hit the hay!

Thank heavens! So relieved for you, Kath. Are you able to tell us what almost stopped it happening? It just seems so stupid to me. Why would you be told you could have the place and then have it pulled out from under you (almost)? Ah well – at least it’s over now! Hurrah!

I get those stomach pains too when I go too long without eating. It is definitely gas – mostly because, well it passes after a few hours if you catch my drift (no pun intended bahahaha!).

That dinner looks awesome! Loooove bruschetta!

    HI Kath,
Congrats on completing the race. I just wanted to let you know that I also suffer from severe stomach pains when I have gone too long from not eating. In fact, it had gotten so bad that I went to the doctor and after exhaustive testing, it was deemed that I have IBS. Definitely not a sexy diagnosis but now that I know…I have been doing so much better! The longer I go without eating and the more empty my stomach gets, the worse! Even if I eat “safe” foods like pretzels or bread, if my stomach is TOO empty, I will likely get an IBS attack (bloating and gas). Anyway, I just thought I would share b/c I feel your pain!
