Organic Minted Fog Tea

A London Fog combines Earl Gray tea, vanilla and steamed milk. This Minted Fog uses peppermint tea for a lovely afternoon cup!

Minted Fog

I drink tea all.winter.long. It’s my main form of hydration and the only way I can keep the chill out of my body. Most of the time I have it plain or with a teaspoon of honey and milk, but ever so often I make something fancy.

Minted Fog Tea

I first had a London Fog at Bread & Cocoa in San Francisco. It’s Earl Gray tea, vanilla and steamed milk. Divine! (Check out Gimme Some Oven’s recipe). I recently ordered one here in Cville and figured I’d attempt to make my own at home and switched up the tea for a minty profile. Here’s how it went!!

    YUM!

I’ve been crazy for coffee lately but I’m sure the madness will stop soon and then I’ll go back to drinking tea all day long instead.

Typically I go for a chai green or peppermint tea and drink them plain — but I DEFINITELY need to try this recipe. Pinning!

The recipe says to heat the milk but you didn’t show that in the video. Did you put the jar in the microwave?

I did – it just didn’t make it into the video. About 30 seconds

London Fog is one of my very favorite drinks! I found a recipe that calls to steep the tea with lavender buds then to combine with vanilla, foamed milk, and honey. It’s divine. 🙂

Lavender is one of my favorite herbs. 🙂 I love all of your videos! The music works so well, & I love how it starts out of focus on some shots then zeros in on a certain shot. I definitely will be making a tea latte again soon!

I have a YouTube channel and probably should upload some of these videos to it! Vimeo is just so much better to work with

Love milk foam! Maybe one of these days I’ll decide it’s worth having another kitchen gadget around 🙂

LOVE London Fogs. I get mine at the local coffee shop with steamed almond milk and sugar-free caramel. I’ve been wondering about recreating my own at home but thought I’d need a steamer or frother.

This sounds awesome! I grow all my own mint and make a blend with 5 different mints and Lemon Balm and Lemon Grass. I also make my own Ginger syrup. I think I will have to try it with that. Yum
