Only A Y Chromosome

Would create this masterpiece! LOL. Go Matt the food stylist!

IMG_1973 (640x480)

Delicious crunchy kale chips

IMG_1969 (640x480)

Bilinski Jalapeno Cheddar Chicken Sausage (LOVE these!)

IMG_1971 (640x480)

Great Harvest Whole Grain Goodness bun

IMG_1972 (640x480)

IMG_1968 (640x480)

I got 2 more hours of work done this afternoon (yes, I am overdoing it considering this stuff isn’t due for weeks, but I am dying to get the smaller assignments behind me!!)

This evening I got to relax with Gossip Girl and ice cream! I was hungrier than usual today – likely due to my longer workout yesterday – so I needed this snack.

IMG_1977 (640x480)

The candidate: Tempt Coffee Biscotti by Living Harvest. I.E. Hemp milk ice cream! I got a coupon to review it and just picked some up at EarthFare. (Check the website for store locator).

IMG_1974 (480x640)

Similar to other natural ice creams, but with a bit more ingredients (all natural, but quite a long list).

IMG_1975 (480x640)

I topped it with some cacao nibs, which I adore for their burnt dark chocolatey flavor.

The coffee flavor of the Chocolate Biscotti was great, but it didn’t knock my socks off as much as the Vanilla Hemp Milk I get on occasion. I also noticed that it didn’t melt as well as regular ice cream (which is one of my favorite parts – the texture). It’s a bit pricey too at $4.99 a pint. But definitely a tasty option for those who are lactose intolerant or vegan.

IMG_1976 (640x480)

I’ve started my 12 hour fast before my Met test at 8:30 tomorrow AM! I’m already worried I’m going to wake up super hungry, but I just need to get over that. It’s not like I can’t eat at 9:00 when it’s over! (I’m going to pack something to have before our workout). Victoria and I are going to a group exercise class after the test, so I’m looking forward to that too! Not sure when I’ll post in the AM – I’ll likely mush breakfast + the test in with lunch. G’night!

I have the Mint Chip variety of Tempt, and it’s great. It’s not green like traditional mint-chocolate-chip flavors, but it’s so light, refreshing, and delicious. Whole Foods is the only place that seems to stock it. Chocolate Biscotti sounds fantastic though; haven’t seen that one around yet. Sure wish I could score some coupons! 😉

Great food styling. I was once at an Italian restaurant where the kitchen sent out a plate of spaghetti with an Italian sausage and two meatballs artfully arranged on top. In these cases, does a guy just dive right in there with the knife and fork, or does he have to rearrange it before he can cut in?

Hey, if you’re a sucker for ice cream, you should try Arctic Zero. It’s 128 calories for an entire pint!

Got mine from Amazon (came in dry ice) and it’s so good! Love all the flavors, but the strawberry was definitely my LEAST favorite.

You should try contacting Garrett from Arctic Zero (http://twitter.com/myarcticzero). I’m sure with your blog volume, he’ll have no problems letting you try some!
