Night Shift

I worked well into the night …last night. On a project I’ve been working on here or there for a MONTH!

The KERF Favorites Page

Complete with the newly updated 3 years of favorite posts and a travel page listing all the exciting places I have documented on the blog. It sure was a fun project, and it’s not entirely done!

image

This morning I woke up to sunbeams in my face – no complaints about that!

IMG_7036BlogIMG_7035Blog

Put me in the mood for a glowing orange smoothie, made of pumpkin of course!

IMG_7040Blog

IMG_7045Blog

The Mix

  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup Organic Valley drinkable yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Toppings: Ambrosial granola, mixed sugar nuts, roasted buckwheat

IMG_7052Blog

The whole time I was eating it I kept getting hints of creamsicle and wondered if I was dreaming I had one of these. I went through my ingredients to be sure, but nope, my orange was from pumpkin. And then I realized – I had used the Orange – Cranberry Ambrosial granola! It was a fab combo!

I decided NOT to go to Target last night due to the fear of rush hour at 5PM, so I’m headed there in a bit. Then recipe making! My mac n cheese won’t be involving pumpkin – but it does have Wisconsin brie involved!

I’m excited to see the mac and cheese! I’m making some tonight. It took me a longggg time to find one that wasn’t absolutely loaded in fat. This one actually calls for bacon in it but I think I’m leaving it out.

I have been wanting a smoothie but just haven’t been craving it during this cold winter. I was just in a Florida for a few days and had one of the best fruit smoothies ever. It was nice to enjoy it in the warm weather. I think I am ready for Spring!

Yummie smoothie!! I was wondering if you have any exercise advise or if anybody has any thoughts~ First I was going to ask do you plan what you are doing though the week for exercise or do you just do what you feel like that day? I have my same routine that I do from week to week and take Sundays off typically. This is the question that I am needing help with~ is it smart to do 2 days sweaty cardio 2 days in a row for an hour each? I am not sure if it was too much cardio or being dehydrated but I was soo fatigued on Sat ( I chugged and chugged water on Friday night and Sat) Sat and Sunday I was retaining soo much fluild my jeans were unbearably tight! Yesterday I did I took a rest day and chugged more water and feel soo much better jeans fit again.

    Any thoughts?? Thx! Heather

      Heather,
It’s really impossible to recommend an exercise regime for someone without knowing everything about your lifestyle. I’d go by how you feel – if you’re feeling dehydrated, perhaps cut back a bit and increase liquids (maybe a little sports drink during your sweaty exercise for fluid and electrolytes too?)

Thank you I will check it out. Does that sound what dehydration can make you feel like. I was retaining lots( at least 6-7 lbs) of fluid~ I could barely get my jeans on!!
