Mountain Of Orange

I started today with 45 minutes of Power Vinyasa #1. I liked it just OK compared to some of the others. It was intermediate and some of the poses were very tricky. I prefer to be challenged in strength and flow these days, but I’m not into the impossible balancing poses like flying eagle! Perhaps someday, but definitely not yet. I still enjoyed it though.

I followed yoga with this pile of pumpkin oats fit for a king! I was licking my lips taking these photos

 this !

The Mix:

  • 1/3 cup oats, 1% milk, water, a whole medium banana, pinch salt, splash vanilla
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin, stirred in at end
  • 2 tbsp wheatberries
  • 1 tbsp ground flax
  • 1/4 Apple Ginger Spice Country Square
  • ~7 butterscotch chips
  • DOUBLE spoonfuls of PB (I ran out way too early!)

A filled-to-the-brim cuppa French press

This should keep me full early afternoon! I am planning to go running outside when I feel my stomach is empty enough not to feel sloshy.

Looks great Kath. I just tried pumpkin oats for the first time and they came out dry. Is the key stirring them in at the end? I’ll try it next time 🙂

    Hey Kath,

I’m interested in downloading some of the videos from yogadownload as I am a yoga instructor and always looking for new ideas and to learn from other instructors – I figured I need to take advantage of the 50% off sale. Just wondering if when you download the videos if they go right onto your computer or if they are just loaded into your account?

Nice to see you are hooked on yoga – its a wonderful addiction. 🙂

oooh I’m loving the Asian-inspired bowl. I feel like my parents TOTALLY have the same one back at home in Hong Kong!! It’s probably just me, but I’m so intruiged by the “fusion” of Western food in an Asian bowl. It’s sorta….really cool.

    Jessica ,
    Cool!!

    Lara ,
Sounds like you might have overcooked them? I’d add more liquid if they are dry. Did you use 2:1 liquid to oats?

    Jennifer ,
Definitely. I just used regular Grade A maple.

    smilesara ,
Interesting! But it doesn’t affect women. Hmm.

    Amy ,
All different kinds of coffee, but currently Dilworth Coffeehouse’s Butterscotch Toffee. I always just put milk in and we usually have 1% for the touch of fat.

    Pam ,
You actually download the file as an MP3 onto your computer so it’s yours for life.
