Festive pancakes for a chilly day with a warm cuppa…looks perfect! Did you get any snow? Visiting at my mom’s and we woke up to a blanket of snow on the ground! It’s beginning to feel a bit like Christmas! Driving home today with my mom…hope we had some snowfall at home to keep the festive mood afloat! My boys will be so excited! I hope the boots still fit…have yet a need to pull them out!

Hey Kath! I’ve been reading your blog for a while, but I don’t think I’ve ever commented. Anyway, your pancakes look so adorable! I love the sprinkles :] For breakfast this morning I tried a slightly modified version of your cottage cheese oatmeal, and I can say they were the best oats I’ve had in a while! Thanks!

Love the Biscoff action and those pancakes are PERFECT and with the sprinkles..so festive.

I have found Dutch cookie butter spread down here and it’s *to die for*. It’s a Dutch island and they get all these spreads and goodies from Holland; I’m in heaven. Cookie butter has been in full force for me!

    Hi Kath:
Do you just whip up the cottage cheese and banana for Matt’s breakfast? Also I wanted to ask you if you refrigerate your Biscoff. I did and when I took it out, it had white streaks thru it, they went away as it came to room temperature. I’m assuming that it’s the fat content. I e mailed them to ask. My jar is dated 4/2012 so it’s still good, that I know.

That is the fat. Scrape it off (or stir it up if you want the excess I guess) and you can still use it.

Do you mean when I make cottage cheese whipped banana oats? I follow the recipe on this page and then stir the cottage cheese in at the end: https://www.katheats.com/kaths-tribute-to-oatmeal/

I think the Biscoff is fine – I agree it’s probably just the components chilling in the fridge. I keep mine on the counter.

I hope we get at least a decent amount of snow before Christmas. It does not feel like Christmas to me without snow.

We had a dusting of snow on the ground this morning, but it has melted.
