Mazen’s Third Birthday

Foodblog (23 of 31)

We had a weekend full of sprinkles, beach balls and smiles as this guy turned three years old!!

Foodblog (10 of 31)

We had a party with his closest little friends on Sunday evening, and the theme was beach balls.

Foodblog (7 of 31)

He has two “pet” beach balls at home, so we invited a lot more over for the party! The yard was filled with them – big and small. Everyone got to take one home as well.

Foodblog (6 of 31)

To eat we served barbecue from J&P and made a handful of sides to go with it: rolls from the bakery, homemade baked beans, potato salad and purple slaw. Plus lots of watermelon!

Foodblog (3 of 31)

There was lemonade for the kids and some nice beverages for the adults as well ; )

Foodblog (4 of 31) Foodblog (5 of 31)

The music for the night was Disney classics, which both the kids and adults loved. The moms had fun singing The Little Mermaid…

Foodblog (8 of 31)

While this trio of girls captured everyone’s attention with a beautiful performance of Let It Go!

Foodblog (18 of 31)

Soon it was time for CAKE!!! We went all out this year with a triple layer speciality from Sweethaus. This family takes birthday cake very seriously! It was a HUGE cake!

Foodblog (19 of 31)

M loved hearing everyone sing Happy Birthday and blew out his candles like a champ.

The inside was funfetti and cookie dough frosting!!

I’ll be back with more recap from birthday weekend later on!

Beautiful pictures! I love your backyard.

I noticed wine cubes on the table — do you have favorites? If so, I’d love to hear what you think and why/how it works for you. Thanks!

      Thanks!

The beans were just dried beans that we cooked and then Matt made a homemade BBQ sauce (or you could use a bottled one!) to toss them in. They didn’t turn out totally how we imagined, but they were still tasty.
