Kibbles + Bits

Donuts replenished!! Whole wheat cinnamon raisin English muffins from The Bread Basket, a local bakery here in Cville. They are simply divine!

IMG_1586Blog

One side had chocolate goat cheese and raspberry jam

IMG_1567Blog

And the other had sunflower butter and jam!

IMG_1566Blog

I was going to put pumpkin yogurt on top, but I find that it’s more difficult to eat and borders on too soggy, so I had it on the side. 1/2 a cup of Oikos  mixed with half a cup of Libby’s with cinnamon and chia seeds and some of Nuts About Granola’s Ambrosial – with little kibbles of dried mangos!

IMG_1573Blog

IMG_1575Blog

Deliciiiiious coffee!

I had company for breakfast!

These kitties always scare me when they appear around my feet when I’m out shooting!

Yes, I would love to have a kitty. But Matt is very very very allergic to cat dander. [He’ll sniff every second for an entire day if he pets one.] We wouldn’t invest in a hypoallergenic cat or fancy drugs for Matt either, so we will never be a cat family, but I do love them!

But we do love playing with them on our porch!

If you want a pet but can’t get a cat because of Matt’s allergies you should get adopt a rabbit! Mine is litterbox trained so he hops all over the house, and he definitely has a little personality and loves to play/snuggle with us. My dad is also allergic to most animals so we couldn’t get a cat or dog, but he is fine around the rabbit. Also, one would fit right in with you and Matt and your love of fresh veggies!!

It’s not as much as it seems!! Real Food means you can eat more than if you’re eating more calorie dense stuff. And I need 1800+ calories to live healthfully, so when you’re eating good quality food, it takes a lot to reach that number. I also don’t really snack!

I am allergic to cats and everything else under the sun and allergy shots have made a huge difference. It is immunotherapy, so sort of a homeopathic approach to treatment. Not sure if it is something Matt wants to consider, not necessarily to get to the point that you can own a cat, but to improve his quality of life when he encounters one. It is a big commitment- usually weekly shots for years. When I am off my allergy meds now, I feel how I used to fell ON them, if that makes any sense.
