Juke Box

Cue The Rascals – It’s a beautiful mornin’

this !

IMG_6020 (640x427) (2)  IMG_6018 (640x427) (2)

I was expecting rain, so I’m in a good mood 🙂 Headed out for a yoga class in just a few!

Pumpkin Pear Creamy Muffin Oats started my morning off to the right tune

IMG_6014 (640x427)

IMG_6017 (640x427) (2)

I stirred a tbsp of leftover heavy whipping cream into the pot. Wish I could say it tasted amazing, but I couldn’t taste it! Next time I’ll whip it 🙂

IMG_6005 (640x427) (2)

The Mix

  • 2 tbsp hot cereal
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Half of a big pear
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • Salt, Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin (lighter ’cause Matt was sharing the pot!)
  • Crumbled Fig Apricot muffin
  • Sunflower butter
  • A tsp of Justin’s Choco Hazelnut

IMG_6016 (640x427) (2)

IMG_6012 (640x427)

IMG_6011 (640x427)

IMG_6009 (640x427)

There are so many alien cats in our neighborhood! I think they all have homes (and Matt is allergic) but it’s really fun to get to play with them at times.

IMG_6006 (640x427) (2)

My shoulders NEED some yoga today – I already miss doing it as many times a week as I was when I had the unlimited pass. Gotta get back to that!

On the occations that I have a tbsp of cream left over I usually stir it in at the end of cooking my oats – I really like it that way, even thoguh it does alter the texture slightly. I luv heavy cream!!! 😀

I’ve found that the best way to incorporate a bit of cream into oatmeal is to pour it over top. That way the taste doesn’t get lost. My faaave is peaches (stirred in) and cream :).

I am soo jealous… I can’t wait until Sunday when I get to go to my Bikram Yoga class… It is sooo relaxing for me afterwards, I feel like I am on a natural high after class. I haven’t been in a long time so I am sure it will feel new to me all over again. The heat definitely takes some getting use to, but I believe the benefits are sooo worth it.

I even bought cat food incase it came back. Then I realized it belonged to a neighbor. I’m such a weirdo! Have fun at yoga!
