I Never Left

Somehow I found myself back at Beer Run today. It’s a good place to hang out!

IMG_1252Blog

Thankfully the Sunday brunch menu is nothing like the Saturday dinner menu!

These ladies invited me out to join them – Brittany and Justine are visiting Hillary this weekend!

IMG_1249Blog

We tasted some pumpkin pecan muffins to start..

IMG_1246Blog

I split one. And loved that they were not too sweet except for the incredible streusel topping

IMG_1247Blog

For lunch I had the Fall Harvest Omelet with mushrooms and brie and a side salad

IMG_1251Blog

The brie was incredible in here!!

IMG_1253BlogIMG_1250Blog

Thanks for lunch ladies!!

Pumpkin pecan muffins! That’s like the perfect muffin for the holidays 🙂 And I’ve never had Brie in an omelet before, I bet it made omelet just that much more creamy!

What else came with the omelet? Are those big wedges of toast? …and is that fruit or avocado in the background (behind the toast)?

pumpkin and pecan were made for each other. I found a pecan butter at my local farmers market (roasted and ground at fastachi in MA – they ship!) and can’t resist topping a bowl of pumpkin ice cream with a spoon of it. Sometimes I stir in some granola, and/or crumbled gingersnaps and/or a drizzle of maple syrup. omigod. what a treat (it’s a good thing pumpkin ice cream isn’t widely available year-round, or I’d have a really hard time controlling myself!)!

I don’t think I’d ever think to pair a side salad with an omelette, but I have paired mashed potatoes with one before – I just wasn’t feeling hash browned potatoes.
