I Heart Laundry Smells

Heaven on earth, this little house is. It was one of those days where I woke up smiling 🙂

And cool – because we turned the AC on last night!

While I attacked the task of unpacking my swag bags (x2 conferences!!), Matt made us some oatmeal.

Long time, no see!!

IMG_0294 (640x427) (2)

We have no bananas or milk, but I did manage to convince my dad to give us some of his fruit 🙂

The Mix

  • 1/3 cup oats, 2/3 cup water
  • Chia seeds
  • Blueberries, stirred in at end
  • Half a peach, stirred in at end
  • Crunchy Buckwheat Granola (still pretty good after 2 weeks!)
  • TJ’s Sunflower Butter

IMG_0299 (640x427) (2)

I don’t like iced coffee. But I love cooled coffee!! And black wasn’t too bad.

IMG_0301 (427x640)

IMG_0297 (640x427) (2)

Our basil is still thriving! I see pesto in the future 🙂

IMG_0303 (640x427) (2)

Can I just say that I am OBSESSED with my home computer? After 12 days blogging from a netbook, I cannot believe how unbelievably fast and wonderful my desktop is!!

Blogging MACHINE!!!

Today is all about LAUNDRY (which I love doing when I have a whole day to do it), unpacking, cleaning and sorting. I couldn’t think of a better way to relax

 this !

Notebooks can definitely strain the eyes and hands! I look forward to the day I can buy a big iMAC. That will seem like such a luxury!!

I noticed this morning that my body soap smelled like dryer sheets. Not sure if that’s good or bad. At least I’ll smell fresh!!

Our laundry vent is right outside my window, so on nights when it’s cool enough to keep them open, and my Mom gets up and does laundry, I can wake up to the fresh scent of clean clothes.

I really like the idea of sizing the Windows Live Writer window so that it fits with the Photo Gallery as well… never thought of that, thanks for the idea. 😀

Kudos to you for actually enjoying the cumbersome task of laundry, it’s definitely on my list of “chores I loathe.” It is nice to have it done, though!

Your oatmeal looks heavenly, as per usual. Don’t you just love how melty sunflower seed butter gets?

Also, how do you keep your basil plant thriving? Mine is seriously ill. Do they require direct sunlight? I currently have it in a kitchen window that gets only indirect light.

I was down to 50 pounds, unable to walk, or speak, recognize my family. I was taken in by an ambulance. It’s been 7 months since I have been FULLY recovered and almost a year since I was in the hospital. I am at a very healthy weight and Im living life for the first time! isThe eating disorder thoughts are gone and I’m at peace.
I just wanted to let you know that your blog and you, are amazing examples of healthy living. You’re a wonderful inspirtation to many people. By the way, your photos are beautiful too!

Hi, Kath. Welcome home. Thanks for the great pics and updates. Sorry to hear about your grandfather.
I was wondering if there’s a reason you prefer rolled oats vs. steel cut. It looks like your morning oatmeal fixes are primarily rolled. I’m hooked on steel cut and just wondered why (or if) you have a preference.
    Thanks.
