I Am An Icecicle

The husband convinced me to bike to the gym this morning – in sub-freezing weather! It was freezing, but mostly because I didn’t dress warmly enough. I need some ski gloves and to wear my winter jacket. A fleece simply won’t cut it! But I’m glad we biked, and it was nice that the sun was up when we left. At the gym I did 30 minutes on the Stairmaster and 10 of pull-ups, chest press and shoulder press. Brrrr!! I wore a headband around my face and ears, which helped a lot, but it had ice on it when I walked in the door! Glad I had this to thaw me out:

I still don’t have wheatberries so we made a 1/2 cup portion:

  • 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup 2% milk, 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 small banana
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • Vanilla, salt
  • 1/4 a PB LaraBar
  • Spoonful Butter Toffee PB

And a wonderful cup of chandelier coffee! 2% milk makes ALL the difference. (My coffee mug photos are ALWAYS blurry!!)

Have a good one!

Okay…I’m officially reading this blog too much. I had a dream last night that there was a “reader/Kath” dinner at the Olive Garden. I remember in my dream, thinking, “Wow, I wouldn’t think that Kath would choose the Olive Garden, but okayyyyy.” 🙂

It’s even getting cold here in Houston! It was 44 degrees this morning on my run! I was so cold starting out, but warmed up by the end! 🙂 It better not get much colder, otherwise I won’t be able to even get outta bed! We have yet to turn the heat on. It was about 59 degrees inside when we woke up. Brrr! I think I need some tea now 🙂

I walk to work every day and go home for lunch, which adds up to 40 minutes walking time, regardless of the weather (I don’t have a car). This morning it was in the low 30s and snowing, which doesn’t bother me… but all morning I’ve heard my coworkers complaining about having to walk in from the parking lot! Annoying.

I have a question for anyone who has one of the olive oil sprayers. I bought one of the sprayers at Crate & Barrell, but haven’t been thrilled with it and I’m not sure if I’m simply doing something wrong. The sprayer requires you to pump it to build up the pressure to spray but regardless of the times that I pump it before use it still only gives a few seconds of spraying before it needs done again. Coating a large pan takes like 3 or 4 times of pumping and spraying. Does anyone have the same problem or have any suggestion?
