Home Smooth Home

So glad to be home!!

SIAB-2Blog

It was nice last night to have my post already done and to walk in the door, drop my bags and go straight to bed.

But of course that’s not how it happened. I’m already all unpacked! I put away all of my clothes (which only took me 5 minutes), sorted my electronics, emptied my carry on bag, sorted the mail and took a hot shower and then crawled in bed, giving my sleeping husband a kiss. He left for work this morning at 3am (had to do sweets today because of a schedule conflict) so I will see him awake later today!

Smoothie on the menu!

IMG_6071-2Blog

The Mix
  • 1 huge banana
  • 2/3 cup frozen blackberries
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

BLEND!

Topped with some Nuts About Granola Plain Jane and blueberries!

IMG_6070-2BlogIMG_6081-2Blog

Adagio vanilla tea on the side

Tea-6Blog

And a large serving of Selling New York! Love that show.

IMG_6076-2BlogIMG_6066-2Blog

My house is a MESS. Not from spewing suitcases but there is dust, dead bugs, leaves, and dirt everywhere. I haven’t cleaned the floors in ages between my two trips. Hoping I can tackle that tomorrow!

Have a great day!

I personally hate unpacking – I’m totally guilty of leaving a mess on the floor for a day or two 🙂

Hope you get some rest and get to catch up with your hubbie soon.

Love the color in your smoothie bowl. I actually skipped the spinach in mine this morning and had a non-green protein shakes for the first time in months!

You’re so good about unpacking – it’s my LEAST favorite part of traveling, I always procrastinate! I hope getting back into the swing of things today is totally painless…minus the floor cleaning part. A good, loud playlist usually helps the process along 🙂

I’m also jealous that you post was already done upon your arrival home last night. I got home, hadn’t blogged, eaten, unpacked, nothing! It all worked out okay in the end though 🙂

Enjoy your first day back to normalcy!

10 seconds – dump out laundry bag into dirty laundry

20 seconds – put jeans + shorts back on shelf

1 minute – put away shoes

1 minute – put away toiletries

20 seconds – remove misc items

10 seconds – hang up hanging clothes

Ha! I can hardly believe that. I usually leave my suitcase sitting around for a week before I get to it. Beautiful blackberry breakfast smoothie. I picked blackberries at a local farm this weekend… gotta say, the pickins were slim. Most of the berries looked ALMOST ripe (meaning red), which made it tough to find the good ones. It’s easy to forget how labor intensive berries are when we can just pick them up from the store!

Hey Kath – random question. What do you think of the Chobani greek yogurts with fruit (blueberry, dark cherry, lemon etc.) from a nutritional perspective? I was looking at the nutrition info and they are really high in sugar. Do you know if there are less sugary, but non-plain greek yogurts out there? Thanks!
