Home For The Holiday

IMG_6709-2Blog

Good morning!

IMG_6707-2Blog

Matt requested oats again – yesterday’s must have been good!

IMG_6710-2BlogIMG_6701-2Blog

Coach’s oats with banana, chia seeds, cottage cheese stirred in at the end – plus Carpe Donut! They’re locally made, cider, organic donuts and made a fun addition to the mix.

IMG_6703-2Blog

Rooibos tea

IMG_6704-2Blog

Rain’s on the way and likely will last all week – better get outside while we can!

IMG_6708-2Blog

It was odd to wake up to a house without artwork and near-empty cabinets – for the first time since we went under contract, this move seems real. More packing to do!

Kath, Talk to me/us about chia seeds. I see you use them all the time, but I am not familiar with them. Are you just throwing them in whole? Where do those of us far away from Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods find them?

Yep, I throw them in whole. I love their texture, and the dose of protein/fiber is also a bonus. I get mine from Chiaseedsdirect.com because it’s the cheapest, but you can find them at Whole Foods in the spices section
