Man, I did NOT sleep well last night!! I woke up at 4:30 with gross wine mouth and no amount of water would fix it. I didn’t have a body hangover – it’s just that I can taste wine like I could taste onions and every breath is difficult to handle! I laid awake for over an hour – and actually did some blog reading!! HA! The only thing I could think about was a banana I’d brought from home, so I got up and ate half. It helped!!
And being a crazy food blogger, I took a picture
With the help of banana love, my sleep mask and deep breathing, I finally did fall back asleep. And when the alarm went off at 7 I woke up feeling less than stellar. When I found Tina + Jenna + Heather at my door at 7:15 to go workout, we all vented.
But once we stepped outside it was GORGEOUS!
Cool and sunny
We walked a brisk 8 minute power walk to HealthWorks, which gave us a handful of passes to use while we’re here for the Summit.
It’s a women’s health center and was top of the line!
I spent 30 minutes on the Stairmaster and felt EONS better afterwards. Yeah gross morning me:
The Floridians went running and met us there. Everyone got their fitness on! Thanks HealthWorks 🙂
I had just enough time for some biceps and shoulders before we raced out with growling stomachs
We decided to go straight to breakfast all sweaty so we wouldn’t have to rush to get dressed. TIna directed us to the cutest corner breakfast spot EVER – Mike + Patty’s
The space is tiny, so it feels just like you’re in someone’s kitchen.
And the food was out of this world!!
We all started with coffees (and tea for Meghann!)
When I saw their yogurt bowl was made with plain greek yogurt, I knew that’s just what I wanted. Topped with blueberries, granola and maple syrup!!
It was fabulous and I ate the whole bowl minus a puddle of maple on the bottom
Heather got one too!
After seeing the Grilled Banana Sandwich on the menu, though, I knew I had to try that as well. I got one for the table to share
It tasted even better than it looks!!! The bananas were puffs of marshmallow delight
I had 1/4 of it
We all left 100% satisfied and want to go back for breakfast for lunch!
I’m hoping in the shower to get ready before we have a full day of Summit preparations and a fun lunch to attend!
Hasta la vista
